  1. I would like to think that the directors on the football committee, now that it is set up, would be the ones doing the interviewing alongside Hutchison. So, that would be Weir/Reid/Kellie. That was not in place when Baraclough was appointed. Their key objectives as of Feb this year: "The key objectives of the committee are to raise additional revenue in the transfer market and help the club remain in the SPFL Premiership"

Need to agree to disagree on that one then. Where you see a lack of effort.....I see a lack of a good, confident footballers who are then making bad decisions. That's all 3 of them by the way. I never said Lasley lacked effort, but I do think it's more or less the same effort as Skippy and McManus. Where we are disagreeing is you are saying McManus isn't trying and therefore inferring I am saying Lasley isn't trying... For me, countless times have seen Skippy back at his own byline defending, also countless times have seen McManus out of position trying to mop up mistakes from the shitey left backs we have had as well as mopping up for centre midfield who are still up the park trying to get back in to defend. Lasley also up and down and the pitch out of position trying to cover for others too. So, my point is that they are all putting effort in but in general are making shitey choices and playing bad football (for varying reasons). I would not disagree that McManus has been disappointing but I don't think it is down to effort. I'd say the only player who has showed 100% true 'effort' is Louis Moult.

No less or more so than McDonald and McManus in my eyes. I dont think the latter have been any good but I wouldnt say it is due to lack of trying...they have just been fairly pish. If McManus was partly behind this supposed 'player power' to get the manager shifted...would he have been captain last night? I don't think so. I genuinely do think there was some disgruntled players with the way the season was going and maybe the way we were training and setting up in games. I also think it is more likely the experienced senior players would speak out (who happen to be Las, Hammell, Skippy, McManus). That has happened countless times. But an orchestrated coup to get the manager sacked.....I think not.

We keep referring back to the Gannon era and 'player power' etc...only Hammell and Lasley were there at the time and are still here now. Yet, it is the former old firm duo of Skippy and McManus who seem to be getting pointed at here. As ever fans favourite Lasley gets off with little said..... A lot of people on here clearly have a problem with ex old firm players playing for us and do not give them as much of a chance...it is very predictable. If Pearson had not been injured and out the picture he would be in the group that 'got the manager sacked' as well no doubt as he fits the bill - ex old firm, friends with McManus and Skippy.
  5. Take with a huge pinch of salt...just names out the air at the moment as well as any names they accept if suggested from twitter etc. Craigan 3/1 VDG 5/1 Mixu 6/1 Stuart McCall 8/1 Lasley, Peter Houston, Billy Reid 10/1 Steve Lomas, James Fowler, Steven Pressley, Stevie Frail 12/1 https://m.mcbookie.com/sports/3/meetings/126456098/events/641935800/markets/57729787/outcomes

Yeah, I couldnt really decide what Les was meaning there to be honest. He didnt specifically call out the players but inferred it by saying something like "Some players should hang their heads in shame...but the experiences pros need to stand up and help them through it". Or something along those lines.

Amazing how a lot of folk have moved from saying Bara was the problem to now it was key players downing tools. Haha.
  8. It will be in the posted accounts somewhere I think.

Thanks. How does that compare to our last few manager? What is his overall % inc cups? Edit: Just saw ML1 said it was 35%
  10. No doubt straight from the bookies lists which are just names plucked out the air at the moment.

Mon' you - get it scranned!
  12. Right, let's fire all this one upsmanship around Baraclough going and whole 'I told ye so' attitude to the side. New start, let's hope Robinson and Craigan can fire up the troops, pick the right team and tactics. We still need to take 3 pts regardless.

Stat people...what was Baraclough's overall win % and where does it leave him against all the others? Assuming Ya Bezzer will have that to hand as is usually quick with the stats
  14. Having watched quite a bit of the U20s I would say he is more or less there. Certainly ready to get half an hour of the bench.
  15. Posted some debt info in the well society thread for those interested.
  16. Given the chat on here around debt repayments etc I thought I would do a bit of digging at Companies House and came across the following. Amongst the usual notices for appointment of directors the filings for the alterations to the floating charge were also posted. Interestingly on a scan through them the debt repayment schedule to Les Hutchison, John Boyle and Derek Weir/Jim McMahon is present within the document. Given Les's recent outburst in the paper I can only assume the club missed the June 2015 repayment of £40k. Now, that is not a huge amount in the grand scheme of things so I would be interested to know why we missed it. Was it a club decision to re-invest it elsewhere at the time? Was it because season ticket funds had not came through? Was it because we agreed it with Les due to the above and Les is being a bit cute with the press? Also, three points of interest. - Firstly, Les said 3 defaulted payments and he reserves the right to stop involvement/look for a sale. So, that would be June 2016 earliest. - Secondly, the terms don't really ramp up until June 2017 so I would imagine that is our realistic date for ensuring the club is on a fine platform and self sufficient/working in profit. - Thirdly, I thought Les had came in and paid off Boyle's debt leaving us owing c£1m to him. That does not seem to be the case and Boyle still has his own debt repayments.

I just hope the board act swiftly on this one and get him punted as soon as possible. Emotion to the side it is clearly not working for the manager or the club, he cant get his own team to gel and last night's selection and formation for me was the last straw. Yes, the players themselves most definitely have a part to play in this (no pun intended) but at the end of the day the manager hasnt showed anything much to evidence that keeping him and binning the players would be the right way to go...probably the opposite. This lies squarely with the football committee on the board - Derek Weir, Ian Reid and Peter Kellie - so it is over to them and I really really hope they were all on the phone this morning discussing next steps
  18. Aye, fuck that. Away in with the Partick fans then.
  19. Manager should be gone but I think he will still be here. I also think we will win for some reason. Fuck knows why. I predict McDonald, Ainsworth, Johnson and Lasley all starting and us scraping a victory by a goal. Ripley Law Kennedy McManus Chalmers Ainsworth Lasley Grimshaw Johnson Moult McDonald
  20. Not seen any rumours...who you talking about here? Assume your meaning Lasley, McDonald and Ainsworth yes?
