  1. Jonathan Sutherland said yesterday the club are hoping to bring a couple of midfielders. So people will have to get on with life around the right back situation... As much as there were not many options I don't think it is a coincidence that when Leitch needed replaced we brought on Laing and tried him at right back and moved Law in. Other option would have been Cadden or Clarkson straight in. The management team will be able to see Law has been targeted every game and is not really coping.

    Well Bois

Aye - I was wondering the same about the quietness. I think I posted a similar question after the first or second home game. Suppose folk get older and have other commitments like a poster said above. Shame as it brought some atmosphere...much as I don't like being beside the drum if possible at away games!
  3. Thinking back to yesterday there were 3 or 4 occasions Thomas, Ainsworth and Johnson, latterly, did that. We just had no one up with the play and in the 6 yard box to quite connect with it.
  4. I thought the 1st half was quite entertaining. We didn't get the final ball all too often but a load of nice play. Second half was not so nice. The players seem to get nervous in the last 30 mins of games. For me that's maybe part manager but a lot to do with the experienced players like Skippy, Lasley, McManus pulling the team through. I saw Skippy moaning but not taking like he did with Erwin, a silent Lasley as fucking usual and a couple of shouts from McManus but not much. Not good enough from our senior pros. We look cohesive starting games, so it is there and the players n ow how to do it...what changes?
  5. Waldo has had a breakdown and is currently half way up a tree near Jack Daniels.
  6. Good debut for Kennedy so I went for him. Thomas has a good first half and then dropped out a bit. Close though.
  7. Tactics seemed clear. We start 4-2-3-1 with a fair bit of success. Then second half they really went direct at our fullbacks. Our response was to go 4-1-4-1 which hemmed us in a bit. Following our subs, due to tiredness, we ended up with players in not quite right positions which firmed up the wide areas bit left us weak through the middle.
  8. I thought first 45 was entertaining. Team and formation worked a treat. Could have had a couple more I reckon. No real worries at the back. First 15 of second half was a bit more settled but then last 30 mins was panic stations. Moult and Leitch replaced I think due to tiredness. New striker looked ok. Didnt have anyone to replace Leitch hence Laing and Law move. I think that firmed the right hand side up but then left the middle so so weak with an out of sorts Skippy, tiring Lasley and weak Law All in I will take it and glad we saw it out. EDIT: Good games from Moult, Thomas, Ainsworth, Las 1st half, Kennedy and McManus I would say. The rest were average in my opinion.
  9. Robinson was fairly prolific at Huddersfield and Derby to be fair.
  10. Hmm. I certainly don't like the tone of his comments there... I am one of the DD payers but if I wasn't that wouldn't especially encourage me to sign up I don't think. It comes across very much from that article that he is more concerned about getting his money back than the future of the club. Which is the opposite from what I thought originally - even though he was very clear it was a loan from the outset.
  11. An odd one for me. So we now have 5 strikers + another out on loan. I wonder if he manager has realised some f the current folk are not going to cut it.
  12. From the YouTube interview it sounds like Fletcher and Hammell are doubts erring on the side of out, but not 100% out yet. Fletcher back on the training ground this week and Hammell not risked mid week. Pearson doing well on recovery.
  13. He showed potential but at the end of the day only played 10 times, 7 as sub. 1 belter of a goal mind you and I think that is the thing we remember, Had we not got McFadden in at the same time in the Jan/Feb, he would likely have played more and I would imagine would have been signing for us. But given we then went and signed McFadden on a perm deal it was never going to happen.
  14. I like Moult. Tries hard and, like I said above has scored 2 out of 4 starts (+ 27 min sub appearance). Keep near that ratio and he will be a hero! Some folk will always focus on the misses. A group near me at FP still wouldnt give Higdon his dues the season he scored 27 because he missed loads as well!
  15. He has also scored 2 goals in 4 starts. If he carries that ratio on I will be delighted. Kaboom. That's a bit tongue in cheek as I do get what you are saying but point is we do not need anther striker.
  16. Ah right. Don't think we need another striker do we? Scored a decent amount for Derby all the same.
  17. Get the podcast boys up in the gantry for a new radio commentary!
  18. Because of the aforementioned rights issues. If it was done unofficially though by one of us...
  19. Hahaha. Yas. That is the best twitter account out there at the moment.
  20. From reading what the vast majority of people are saying form last night it has to be: Ripley Watt Kennedy McManus/Laing Chalmers Ainsworth Leitch Lasley Thomas Skippy Moult Only concern with the above is the back 4 has been went through major change since last weekend. (Assuming Hammell is out). Does that make it better than what we had or more likely to concede goals due to confusion/misunderstanding?
  21. I would watch them. For all the shite first 80 mins it seemed we had more than enough chances on the highlights and decent goals too. Not saying I am forgetting about the first 90 and putting the majority of the performance to the side but give em a watch
  22. Watched the interview and highlights. Bara looked shocked and angry in my eyes. A tad defensive at times with some questions. Either because he is feeling the pressure or trying to keep the club exterior positive after going through a cup tie. Highlights didn't tell the same story as twitter did. But I wouldn't expect them too. Laing terrible mistake for their goal. Moults goal was a belter I thought. Strong play go hold off east fife and great finish. Skippy goal showed the drive and bit of quality he brought. Ainsworth a good build up and finish. Cracking save from Ripley as well. We could and should have had about 3 more in my eyes - 2 from Moult and 1 from Skipp.
