  1. O'Brien is on the frontpage of midweek Supergoals today.
  2. First John Sutton says on BBC Alba that his favourite female celeb is Lorainne Kelly and then today Jim O'Brien is subject of an Oasis mock-up picture and an article full of Oasis puns. Funny stuff.
  3. I think that result could really be a big blow to Aberdeen's season.
  4. As raised in our letter to Killie yesterday , both clubs have let themselves down. We didn't reduce the prices for Killie for the Setanta game in December.

Nothing like overreacting! Folk were discussing different strip ideas , cannae really see much harm in that!
  8. She has replied outlining that the prices for Saturday are the cheapest of all SPL games. Doesn't look good folks , sorry!
  9. Karen , I understand and fully back your efforts to help increase the number of children going to football matches , However surely even offering the family deal to Motherwell supporters would help encourage extra bodies through the gate?? Given the current climate , awkward kick off time and television coverage , surely it would make sense to offer the same incentives to away supporters as are already available to home fans? Especially given the fact that Killie have already distributed 3,500 free tickets , would it really hurt to reduce the prices for away fans (where as a result an extra 100/200 fans may travel to the game?) Regards Andy The email which was sent also aknowledged that Motherwell failed to reduce the prices for the home game against Killie and outlined our dissapointment at both Motherwell and Killie for pricing fans out of the fixtures between the two clubs.
  10. Hi Andy, Thank you for your email, whilst I appreciate your concerns there are extenuating circumstances which have resulted in the difference. The Moffat Family Stand is for family groups of two or more home supporters including at least one child under 16. On a related note a large amount of free tickets are provided to this stand throughout the season to local schools and clubs. For this particular match we have provided over 3500 free kids tickets as part of the community programme. As such the reduced prices illustrate the large number of children present in the stand. You will note that prices in the East Stand, Main Stand and Chadwick Stand are the same. Regards Kirsten Callaghan Club Secretary
  11. Thanks Leeann , it makes a lot of difference knowing that these things are being picked up on.
  12. Lets try avoid the shite bickering here. The fact is we all agree that it is unfair that we are being charged more than the Killie fans , lets just hope we can get that resolved. Kmmfc - I have just forwarded the email onto the club ta.
  13. As good as the prices are there is no way it will compete with Daniels for a Scotland game.
  14. We need some sort of display to help show how much we want this guy to stay. Fire onto ebay and buy Slovakian flags and hold a flag day? I don't know , but what is for sure is that I'd be gutted to see him go.

See the talk of the stewards reacting to incidents. When the old lady two rows infront was hit with the ball , almost half the section were shouting trying to get the attention of the steward walking down the stairs - he didn't even aknowledge anybody. Completly oblivious to what was going around him. If someone is drinking from a ginger can or standing up however......

Thought we were on top in the first half , but always looked suspect when defending cross balls. We had a few chances before getting the opener. Sheridan should have had it wrapped up before half time. Start of the second half we looked like a different team and the intro of Sandaza seemed to swing thing United's way. Got ourselves infront and battled hard for the three points. Delighted as our top six hopes nevermind our European hopes would have suffered a massive blow if we had failed to win.
  18. Just to assure you all if the day ever comes where a trust board member is elected to the MFC board. It certainly will not be me
  19. <P> I think in what you have just posted you have provided something really useful - you have let the members of the Trust board what you want or what you would like a focus on. I used the example of helping the Under 15's in a wider point about perhaps focusing ourselves on helping a certain area (in this case youth development.) In the current climate , sponsorship etc will be harder to come by - maybe this is where the Trust can step in by providing the cash which hasn't been raised in sponsorship. Perhaps next year less of the budget will be able to spent on Youth Development due to the essential work on the pitch? It has been mentioned in the past that there is money sitting waiting for the work on the disabled enclosure and as I understand it , the club have been a bit slow to react on it all. However , as I am sure someone will point out , we should be pushing on with this and giving the club constant reminders.
  20. I hit a button and fecked it up!
  21. Dodge/TheLip69 I like the thought of having a major focus in a certain area of the club. The recent meeting with Gordon Young was very interesting and as the young guy there last night said "these guys are the guys we hope to see playing for the first team one day." If the Trust could be helping for instance the Under 15's side travel to a tournament abroad , pay for extra kits etc they would be seen to providing something of real value to the club. The recent vast improvment in the the club website would mean these tournaments would gain more publicity and the Trust would be seen to be providing the club with something of use. Alongside this the Trust also has to be seen to be serving the interests of the fans on occasions where greivances occur. On the criticism point , I think there are certainly trust related posts on here which are certainly hold up. But there are times (bear in mind I've been on the board only four months) where I would like to see someone get in touch with an idea to bring forward.
  22. It was discussed yesterday that there is obviously a fair bit of apathy , but I think the Trust took a positivie step with last nights event and even despite a poor turnout I think that similair events will help re-build relationships between the Trust and the Motherwell support. There will always be people who don't take an interest and many people have valid reasons for doing so. But I think that Fraz summed it up last night when he said that it is hard to know how we move forward without the input of the fans. Criticising for the sake of criticising serves no purpose.
