It is unfortunate that all this stuff is brought into football. It seems to have gone beyond the stage where it can be joked about and in a way that is unfortunate as I used to enjoy hearing stories from the Rangers and Celtic fans I know about how OTT some of their own supporters can be. I am happy to have Cillian and Jim at the club and to be honest their background has never crossed my mind in the past.

Sheridan in the paper this morning talking about how he is looking forward to the chance to relax and score goals at Motherwell. It may do him a bit of good being away from the busy surroundings at Celtic. As long as he knows he isn't here for a holiday.

Will be interested to see what he brings to the team. Can't say I am overjoyed at the signing but he will get a chance to prove me wrong. Hopefully last night will provide a wee boost for Sutton and he will return to the goalscoring form of his early weeks at FP.

He has been a key figure this season and it was only a few months ago that the majority of this board were going off their heads after he was taken off at Falkirk and stressing his importance to the team. A fit Klimpl has given us the needed depth in the team and the needed competition for places. I don't agree with the viewpoint that we would be mad to sell at all.

There is also an element of frustration in it all. The money never is re-invested in the transfer market , I don't see us getting anyone better for that price. I know we have to tighten our belts , but in my opinion selling arguably our 'Player of the Year' so far is a bad idea (despite coping without him in the United and Falkirk games before someone jumps in.)
