Not that it really matters but Cadden is from a Celtic supporting family and I would imagine would have supported them before he joined the club. I didn't think Campbell was local to the area (could well be wrong) so would be surprised if he was originally a supporter. What matters is that they are now supporters by dint of them being at the club so long.

We had consecutive wins against St. Mirren and Dundee earlier in the season but, yes, we've generally been consistently inconsistent! Although I think Dundee supporters will be saying the same. I wouldn't be too disappointed with a draw but a win would open up the sort of gap that you would think would make us safe.

I caught snippets of Trevor Carson on Off The Ball yesterday and thought I heard Tam Cowan say something about seeing him play again next season. Can anyone confirm when he's contracted until? I thought he will be out of contract this summer.

You wonder how much we watched them. Did we only watch them losing 4-0 in Dumfries last week which seems to have been a one-off. We couldn't match them in midfield and I don't know if we can play two wingers and David Turnbull as it leaves us too lightweight. It was as if Robinson had thought "I've been criticised for not being attacking enough, I know - I'll put more attacking players on" without thinking what sort of shape we would have. How you could then change things to three wingers and one centre forward is beyond me. I'd have had Hastie on for Frear rather than Johnson. Any time we did play the ball to Main (who I thought made some good runs), he was completely isolated.

It's ok. Robinson says we're building the team round him (based on one good game against Accies I think).

Don t know if their thumping at Dumfries was a one-off but I did read comments that Van Der Weg was caught for pace at left back. Cadden always seemed to be able to get the better of him so hopefully our new found pace can exploit that particular weakness.

If you've never heard it, there's a very good interview with McManus on Simon Ferry's Open Goal podcast. Very positive about Motherwell. I don't remember any great revelations but he did say he knew his time was up in that Edinburgh City game. Anyone that was there knew it as well.

I assume there's nothing imminent. Much as the player's identity may be kept under wraps, the club like to pique our interest by tweeting if there's an upcoming announcement. Can't beat a good rumour to keep it interesting in the meantime though!

Considering their manager has only just left I would have been surprised if they had made contact already (if they are even interested).

Don't forget Dunne is probably No.1 for the left back spot depending on the formation.
