  1. Spot on. The club were pretty open about the chances of the pitch cutting up in its first winter due to the grass having insufficient time to properly bed in. The suggestion is that it shouldn't be as much of a problem in future years.
  2. I've found it's not a good idea to be up a ladder doing some DIY when a Motherwell goal is announced on the radio!

    Jim Jefferies

I think Boyle has shown with his recent appointments that he is unlikely to go for anyone as obvious as Jim Jeffries. He also he seems to like a bit of personality to his managers.

    Where Do You Sit?

And I'm in row T behind Bob Wilson so must be just in front of Welldell - he's right, you do get a great view there.
  5. Strangely, employment law doesn't accept a signature where the player has been physically restrained and forced to sign. If he didn't want to agree a new contract then there wouldn't have been a lot the club could have done about it. It could still all be rumours of course.

    Game Off

I thought their loan term was already up seeing as we're now in january.

    Woods On Ruddy

Hopefully Everton will show their appreciation for the experience he's getting by extending the loan deal until the end of the season because he'll be a huge loss. There have been a lot of games where he has won us points by making saves which have been beyond that expected of a goalkeeper. On the downside, if Moyes thinks he's a future international we have no chance of signing him long term although I assume wages would have prevented that anyway.
  8. I thought Elliot and Delomeaux were specifically kept on to sell in the short term with a view to getting some money into the club quickly. Can't remember how much we got for him though. He had the knack of being able to do very little in some games and still pop up with a few goals. Good luck to him wherever he ends up - even Accies!
  9. I've not listened to Dallas's interview but I assume that if Gannon sent letters then Dallas would be send letters in reply. After that, anything could have happened that doesn't involve people lying: letter lost in the post, girl in SFA mail room making a mistake with label etc. This tit for tat nonsense via the media doesn't get anyone anywhere and they all end up looking a bit childish. Quite entertaining though!
  10. What has the viewing public done to deserve this? At least it's not Monday night although lunchtime games confuse - do I eat before or after or subject myself to a pie?
  11. SFA! (Sorry - too good an opportunity to miss).
  12. I have to ask Numpty -how do you manage to dig up articles like this? Have you not got work to do?
  13. I know St. Mirren were complaining that Easter Road was going to be better for Hearts fans and give their fans a bit of a trek on a midweek night. We all had the same argument when we played there but in the end we didn't care! Although St. Mirren would have preferred Hampden it did cross my mind that Fir Park would have been pretty neutral travel distance wise however I did wonder if it would be big enough. It seems like common sense has prevailed (assuming our pitch bears up) although it obviously wasn't an option for our semi a few years ago when the only other alternative would have been Livingston which would have definitely been too small.
  14. Yeah travel conditions were much worse here than up there. There wasn't even snow by the time we got to Dundee.

The defence was much more of a shambles in the second half when Craigan was off the park. I felt sorry for Saunders who had obviously been declared the least guff on their left foot and was the one chosen to play out of their favoured position. Hateley got the absolute run around from Courier.
  16. Unfortunately the days of sitting in the centre main stand at any ground and supporting the opposition in a well-behaved manner are long gone. People have got used to segregation policies to such an extent they feel personally insulted to even be in the vicinity of opposition supporters no matter how polite and dignified they may be. People in the Cooper Stand even get upset if there are opposing fans in the hospitality boxes who stand up at their side's goals so it's not just Accies.
  17. Yes, I wondered about that. Is he eligible through grandparents?

From what I saw of Hearts breaking at speed against Celtic on Wednesday, I'd take a draw now.
  19. At the game on Saturday Gallacher was getting a lot of abuse to the extent I assumed some of the people knew him. Was there anything to it or was it just he is an opposition player? In which case he's fair game although I felt a few individual shouts were out of order.
  20. I didn't go last night but it sounds as though the stewards did you a favour!
  21. Were people actually turned away from this game, with an official attendance of 4325? Any idea how many couldn't get in?
  22. After going on Saturday, I'm going to have to miss this one out due to family commitments. Not very hopeful as we rode our luck for long spells on Saturday and only improved when we opened the game out in the second half which also left room for them. I'm just going to have to sit with my fingers crossed listening to the radio!
  23. We didn't sell it out for last year's Scottish Cup replay so can't see us selling it out for the CIS Cup.

I don't see what the big deal is here. The odds on teletext show St. Mirren as slight favourites. Does that make the bookies twats or mean they have some sort of anti-motherwell agenda?
