A good start to get us out of the relegation picture early, and a good run in one of the cups assuming a favorable draw. With our league it is a toss up who finishes 3-10, as it comes down to form and injuries, with the quality being pretty much the same. Hamilton and Patrick for bottom 2.

He scored an overhead kick one time, and they got very excited about it.

Great piece of business regarding marvin, and it is interesting to see us looking at paying another fee for someone. One thing about this and the last few transfer windows is that football fans on Twitter are cringeworthy. Just ran a search for 'motherwell' and there are fans from wrexham and mfc tweeting that moult fellow. Also, if you post stuff on here there are a few well fans that will tweet the club/flow asking about it.

Some Twitter chat about Louis moult from wrexham coming to us, but he's a striker so that seems unlikely.

I think "thersh a burning in my pantsh" might be more popular.

Friendly at Livingston on 18th July confirmed in Twitter.

Hadn't really thought of who we could bring in to replace lee until now. How many ex Motherwell strikers are available?

From his point of view, after a couple of big injuries I wouldn't risk waiting on a more lucrative move. Also, he went from being a fringe player to looking like a world beater against rangers, so his stock isn't going to get much higher. I thought he could do better than Leeds, but they're a feeder club in their own right so hopefully he finds his way to a Cardiff or west brom.

After Erwin's involvement in the post match shenanigans I think the timing of this move will work out for him. Not sure it is the best move, but hopefully he doesn't disappear. As for Marvin, if any club wants to come in and settle the loan from les a few years early then they are very welcome.

In January we were looking for short term fixes to keep us up, so hopefully we are now looking for additions who can help us to a better league finish than last season. As for ainsworth, his poor performance and attitude for 2/3 of the season was a contributing factor to our league place, I'm guessing that a second contract extension will probably cost us a few quid and we're not going to get any money for him down the line, so I don't think he's the best use of our money. I would hope that Dom Thomas could come in as the second winger and actually develop into an asset.

Is the club not still responsible since our security allowed it to happen?

I think him being shite is a bigger impediment to his career. -
If cummins thinks he deserved a fair crack, maybe he should have been less shite at his loan clubs.
-
It will be interesting to see where some of them end up, but I doubt that carswell or mchugh will come back to haunt us.
-
I can see us trying to extend the loans of grant and long, and wouldn't be surprised if we were sounding out skippy and Laing, though
-
I doubt he would fit in, with us already having Johnson and Thomas under contract, and the hope of keeping ainsworth.

The site scrapes stories from elsewhere, in this case the Sun http://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/scotsol/homepage/sport/spl/motherwell/6483148/My-wife-was-only-one-in-my-family-cheering-for-Well.html

Could Johnson potentially recoup hutchinsons money on his own?

Think he decided to punch because his momentum was taking him into the back of the net and if he caught the ball he would have took the it in with him. Can't stop watching it. -

I've been a total wreck since Thursday afternoon. After the st mirren game I had accepted our fate, but rather than celebrating going 3-0 up at ibrox all I could think about was how we were going to screw this up, or how the media would conspire against us. I was too nervous to watch the game today but I finally switched it on just before our first, and all I can say is that we were immense. Laing had one of his best games for us, and Johnston and Lionel are a different class when they are on. But what a piece of bloody business to get skippy and Pearo back, I love them to bits. And if I can come to an arrangement with my wife and mrs Lasley, I would like to propose to keef. It's half one here, so I am going to get pished and troll folk on Twitter. Enjoy the next few drama free weeks folks -
Worried they're going to lose the head and start throwing in some cynical tackles.

With Lasley, hammell, and mick signed up for next season, I can see value in keeping Sutton as part of an experienced core of players to help bring on the young ones. Stay or go, he probably deserves a bit more credit than he gets.

Erwin and pearson's pressing was a huge part of our game last night. Law looked decent, and Straker almost looked like a player, and the two wingers were reminiscent of twaddle and townsley back in the day
