  1. You don't have a clue what your talking about but that hasn't stopped you commenting in the past.

The meeting was organised by the club, both the Wellboys and the Trust were invited. The Wellboys had points they wanted to cover, the Trust had seperate issues they wanted to discuss. The meeting seems to have been beneficial for everyone and a success.

I am as entitled to an opinion as anyone else, thanks very much. If my opinion is that the Trust is just looking for a bit of good press then I'm affraid that's your problem if you disagree :(

  2. For someone that doesn't want to say too much you do go on a bit.

This thread was about a club meeting with the Wellboys, not the Trust, it's their opinion we want not yours.

    Exactly.

Very glad the Trust have the oportunity for a press release too, bravo for that. Keep up the good work (by good work I mean jumping on the 'Wellboys coat tails).

  3. Wrong. Arbroath were entitled to a percentage of anything Hearts received once Webster moved on, that's the way the clause is written in case a player moves on in a straight swap with another player, then a tribunal sets the price and the club are rewarded accordingly. So had Hearts given Webster away for a cold fish supper, they would owe Arbroath some chips. Football clubs aren't that stupid they wouldn't see that loophole.

Any compensation Hearts receive then Arbroath are entitled to their fair share. Your club are only trying to weasel out of it because you DONT HAVE ANY MONEY.

Arbroath are only accepting a lesser fee, because the alternative was spending years in court fighting for it and spending more in legal fees than they would eventually get. Guess who put that hypothesis to them?

    Good old Hearts.

Does anyone really think any player McGhee has signed would go to Hearts after he knocked it back?

    Nae chance.

  4. BBC says no:

Motherwell: Graeme Smith, Quinn, Craigan, Reynolds, Hammell, Klimpl, Hughes, Lasley, O'Brien (Murphy 82), Porter, Clarkson. Subs Not Used: Krysiak, Malcolm, Sutton, Darren Smith, McGarry, Saunders.

  5. ???

Must just be me then, but I thought he was terrible.

Can't cross the ball, runs as though he has shat himself, looks really weak, poor decision-making and that fresh air swing. There were a couple of things that he done well, but IMO they were out-weighed by the negatives. Andy Roddie without the well gloves.

Thought we missed Fitzpatrick in the midfield, ans we didnt have the same balance. The defence played well and Porter had quite a god game also.

That's what opinions are for then eh?

I though Slim Jim was really good, beating his man several times thorughout the game and his crossing although not all that good, was better than last week. It was a good to watch a 'Well beat people with sheer pace. Fair enough, he made a mistake with the fresh air shot but he got a second chance and that shot was good so in the grand scheme of things I don't think it really mattered.

  6. if more of the euro fans made the effort

That's a bit harsh IMO. Nancy was good weather and basically a holiday so singing and jumping about was nae bother. Today it was fuckin' baltic and the game wasn't the best so I'd say the conditions and the occasion itself play a big part.

  7. 3 foreign players isn't realistic in my opinion, I mean today we had Porter, Craigan, Klimpl and possibly O'Brian. The first 3 would be considered foreign but Slim Jim could be up for debate as he has dual nationality. I'd be up for the 6+5 rule FIFA want to brig in.

  8. His backside must be sore from deciding which side of the fence he sits on!

Does 'Flow decide with his arse? :D I Don't see the conflict of interest at all, even though he works at the club he's just as intitled to an opinion as the rest of us surely :)

  9. i for one must admit to being a wee bit wary that the trust are just jumping on the back of the wellboys bandwagon here

I think you're right. I mean, what do they even do? It just seems like they sense a chance for a big of good press with the supporters and have jumped right in. For example, look at Frazzles post.

    1. Can we (the MST) meet with the Wellboys seperately before this meeting, even just briefly, to clarify the position on a few matters?

So you have arranged a meeting with knowing exactly what it's going to be about?

    2. Can we try to conduct these discussions by pm or private email until the meeting is done and dusted? Too many cooks spoil the broth, etc.

What's the point in this? Why do the turst not want us to be up-to-date with it? The Well Boys always post updates when there are any.
