Yeah, the capacity has been dropped to 6k. That was in 2005 when ICT came up and since then Accies have came up with a capacity of 6k and St Mirren Park only holds 8k.

This is Boyles last chance to get this right now. The pitch is going to cost him ST holders who refuse to part with £300 to see games on that park. PATG(home and away fans) who would rather do something else/go elsewhere than pay £20 to watch a game on the park. Now, potentially, we have players not prepared to sign unless sufficient guarantees are made over the pitch. I also think that these guarantees shouldn't be made only to players either. IMO, if the pitch shambles happens again by Christmas, ST holders should be entitled to have their money refunded by the club as they will be getting shafted for the 3rd season in a row. Perhaps while Mr Boyle is getting the pitch in order, perhaps he should be canvassing Cricket Clubs, Golf Courses, Bowling Clubs, other Football Clubs(Accies Groundsman has already told him to GTF by the way) to see if we can get suitably experienced, capable groundstaff who know how all equipment available to them should be used, that will be able to keep the park more than playable over the course of the season.

There are varying levels of sympathy within the support for the club in our pitch plight. But we're getting to the straw that breaks the camel's back point - if you pardon the pun.
I understand we've had a bad winter but my own view is that we could have done the work the year before and benefitted from a milder winter in season 1 (hindsight and all that). But the scandal of the summer befor last has come home to roost big time.

Totally understand if Tom doesn't want to play football at Fir Park if it's going to be like that next season. As his dad said , all he'll gain playing at Motherwell is "a few inches round his thighs".
Get it sorted Motherwell, losing a player because of the pitch is fucking embarrassing.

Have to disagree but I think that the arse has been well and truely spanked to fuck out of this thread. Only so many times that people can post the same stuff over and over again about the same thing until it just gets boring. Most people seem to think that he isn't up to the job, minority have much more confidence in him. Bottom line if he is our first choice keeper next year then we are fucked before we start. Nothing personal but he is an alleged professional footballer if he has confidence problems and all the nasty Motherwell fans are against him, then its best for him and for us if he goes.
