  1. Meaning if we get into Europe gain it could be back to Airdrie in the summer.
  2. Aye, but unless I'm wrong CB hasn't managed a club side in European competition. I'm pretty sure he fancies an early start and I have confidence in him and AK letting the players know this week that the last two games haven't been anywhere near acceptable.
  3. That is not truw for a couple of reasons. Ok we are seven points ahead but the next game we have is Celtic away when Hearts have Killie at home. We better hope that the Killie players want to show JJ a couple of things as I know what fixture I would rather have out of the two. All this might be academic anyway as St Johnstone might push Hearts out of the top 6.
  4. Totally agree with all of this.
  5. Nah Tom Hateley for me. He would be the first guy I'd be looking to resign. Quality all round. Psycho1991 you need to go and have a wee lie down. You'll be running out of insults and swear words soon. Beginning to think your name has nothing to do with Colin O'Neil and your 19.
  6. We always are looking to the future. McGhee could have played youngsters because after the St Mirren game we never had anything to play for. 7th position was effectively ours and we couldn't move up any higher. This is a very different situation. By playing our current best team (which is Ruddy in and Fraser out) we would be trying to secure as high an SPL finish as possible (which means more money from the SPL, which could go to the players budget for 2010-2011) and potentially Europe.
  7. Why didn't we play Fraser all season, or since JG left as Ruddy too was part of that bad run? You play your best players and team when you are in the running for something. We still have a chance of European football and bringing some extra cash into the club for next season. That is the priority not giving our second choice keeper (whether he is 'ours' or not that is what he is) a run out to see if he will do a job for us next season.
  8. I see where you are coming from. For me though, as long as you have something to play for, you should play your best team. As Ruddy is better than Fraser, imo, I would play him until we secure our spot or fall out of things altogether. Unless of course Ruddy's season is over then we don't have a choice.
  9. Worryingly though we have six games left and half of those are against the OF with two of them likely to be away. Six points from now to the end with wins against Hearts and Hibs wouldn't be the worst. We at least need to make sure neither of those two beat us. We need to hope that Killie get at least a draw against Hearts next week. If Hearts win we go into the split with us just 4 points ahead. A draw and we are six ahead. Six points at that stage and I'd fancy us to finish 5th. Fourth could be hard as I would expect Hibs to have us and Hearts at Easter Road.
  10. I quite like the 'in the face' of opposition players route he takes at times. Moaning at players? Anybody with confidence in their ability should do that. He wants the ball 'cause he thinks he can do something with it. Sometimes he does. Too many times he tries to pass the ball with a fancy flick, a backheel, or a wee cheeky pass between defenders and it gets caught out far too much. He has great pace, can beat men no problems, and has won us a few penalties and freekicks in dangerous positions thanks to his speed/skill. He is not Ronaldo though and he doesn't play on a bowling green surface so he should keep it a bit more simple at times. In saying that his refusal to respond to the ref's whistle today was cringeworthy. No wonder Crags was raging.
  11. Players never turned up in the first 45 mins at all. It actually looked like they thought they were going to win at a canter. Then reality kicked in. Th epitch was a disgrace and the amount of bobbles from the ball and players tripping up/slipping was a shambles. It affected the quality of the game greatly, but didn't contribute to our defeat. Falkirk were better and should have scored at the end. If we had scored in injury time (chance would be a fine thing......31/12/2005 is the last time I recall that happening in a competitive match) then it would have been a bit harsh on Falkirk. Forbes is slow and looks as if he is suffering from a lack of confidence, O'Brien tries to be too cute on too many occasions (although at least he shows he cares enough to get upset by getting beat) and as far as I can see Humphrey can run fast in a straight line. That lad has a lot to work on. I think he would be better off learning the role of right back than right wing. Don't get the Fraser as Motherwell MOTM chat. One cracking save, one out of the box clearance, and a fluffed kick out, just doesn't do it for me.
  12. ........and how many of them were people who hadn't been at Fir Park for a while. Could be that a lot of people who usually pay at the gate got in for free today.

    Falkirk

Man of the match though? No way. Granted he had one very good save and came out of the box to clear a ball but other than that? One fluffed kick in his bottom left corner and nowt else. He had nothing else to do in the 45 mins he was on the park.

With man of the match, somebody has to be head and shoulders above the rest. Not one player was in that position today. They were all playing at a similar level and thst sadly wasn't good enough. Null vote for me.
  15. The lad looks to have zero confidence as well at the moment.
  16. Couldn't agree more. Unless they get four men sent off that is!
  17. As we are just about into April and have only got 7 games left before the end of the season, has anybody heard any news/rumours about the Sponsorship night or even a Player of the Year night?
  18. I'd rather have Hateley. No emoticon 'cause I'm being serious.
  19. 'The first chance though, came via a long-ball over the top for Cody Arnoux which caused panic in the City rearguard. On six minutes, the American forward got in between his markers and drew the goalkeeper Gunnar Neilsen, but the ball got caught under his feet and the chance went begging. ' First half of last season he was here wasn't it?
  20. Aye, pretty much gave more and more info on the 'source' with each post. Can't see it being true.
  21. Well dug out weeyin. Hope the one resigning is not all we are going to get. Doesn't look too grand after reading that though.
