    Calm doon man !!! It was a kickaboot in the park. Thats what they games are for to get your mistakes oot the system. Am sure Crags and the rest of the coachin staff will have them in at training ironing those mistakes oot. Honestly sum fans need to get a grip and see these games for what they are meant to be about.

    Calm doon? Riiiiiiiight! If you read my post again you'll notice I said 'panic' is going too far. I do stand by the point that any Well fan SHOULD be a bit concerned going into the match on Thursday, not for getting put out a cup but more losing out on earnings.

     

    And FFS give this 'He who has no faith should support the old firm scum!!!' pish a bye. Why does ANYONE who declares any concern over the team's current condition get a lecture on 'the rollercoaster' or 'away to the OF'. Aye.....a know how it works!! B-)

    weeyin a wee bit of hyperbole with "panic" there but you cannae say that makes good reading FIVE days before a game to a team that came second to Rhyll in their league. The Europa League is nothing more than a chance to make a wee bit of dosh.....and we won't do that if we don't see Albania at the least.

    Cheers mate. Similar to what I thought except I had O'Brien and McGarry on different flanks. Wonder though if Craigan had them swapping about like McGhee did? Well if Fitzy has bulked up just forget about Klimpl right now. Get him in the holding role in front of a four man defence, a three man midfield including Las, O'Brien, and A.N. Other, and a good strike partner for Sutton and there yar!! Oh sorry.......forgot about the defence and another four back up players :(

     

     

    Llanelli will really fancy their chances now!

    we were just shite, no excuses. we were playing against a team who had came up from wales on a bus this morning and 4 of their starting 11 had done a night shift last night. everyone looked very rusty and we'll have to play much better on thrursday. it's a double blow as we'll have lost confidence and llanelli will clearly hear about this result and get a wee spring in their step.

     

    the game finished 3-1. i went down the road to watch the lions but appatently ross forbes scored a 30 yard screamer and darren smith hit the bar and had a shot that their keeper made a great save from.

     

    we were undone in the first 15 minutes by high balls through the middle. the rhyll manager said that llanelli are a stoke style team who chuck in long shy's at every oppoprtunity. also heard from the motherwell end that the team started today will start thrursday (although i'd rather see dazza, forbes and saunders playing)

     

     

    The first two lines of your post make for very uncomfortable reading. However, how did the team line up?

    Some of those have reached the end of their contracts and don't really count imo. Chances are, even if MM had stayed, the likes of Hughes, Buzz, and McLean would still have gone. Quinn and Clarkson are the ONLY sales (pending) and players will be brought in on loans, bosmans and for undisclosed fees. Basically high earners moved out and cheaper substitutes brought in. In the current climate I can't see any other option.

    Or not wanting to go any place near a tackle in case they get injured before the Europa tie.

     

    Or that....which makes it purely a fitness exercise. Seems like a pretty wasted trip for the Rhyll lads right enough to come up for that.

    to be fair he's just sitting in the wee stand, porteous and craigan looked to be in charge.

     

    we were terrible in the first 15 minutes and lost 3 goals, micheal fraser didn't look very clever (or for that matter very tall). played abit better after that but no cutting edge.

     

    team. fraser, page, hammell, reynolds, craigan, fitzpatirck, lalsey, mcgarry, o'brien, sutton, murphy.

     

     

    You are kidding me!!! Not that we got pumped more that this game ACTUALLY took place. I thought it was a joke in previous thread or I would have been along. Where is Rhyll in comparison to Llanelli.......football wise not on a map????

     

    Just out of curiosity how did they shape that team?

     

    Midfield of McGarry, Fitz, Las, O'Brien left to right and front two of Sutton and Murphy?

    Then you misunderstand my question. If you were sitting waiting on hearing about the job at the minute, would you be like "That's good, Clarkson, Quinn and Reynolds are being sold. More cash to spend..." or would you be thinking "Aye, all well and good giving me money, JB, but I need to replace these three as well now..."

     

    See what I'm saying...?

     

     

    Ahhhh gotcha. I'd be thinking "I'm getting in the players I want and a chance to build MY team" so in answer to your question...........I'd say "That's good, Clarkson, Quinn and Reynolds are being sold. More cash to spend..."

  20. New Manager-who Would We Get?

    Although I have no idea who our next manager is, I suspect that JB has made his decision and that everything is done and dusted. I also think that talks have taken place with the new manager where he will have agreed the sale of DC and PQ with the money being made available to him for signing targets who I hope he is now talking to. I think the reason he's not been revealed yet is due to the club not wanting him to be seen as the man behind getting rid of these players, which could lead to a small section of our fans being on his back from day one.

     

    All of this is only my opinion and if I'm correct then by Tuesday we will have seen

    DC sold,

    PQ sold or deal nearly completed,

    new manager confirmed,

    one new player signed and added to the squad for Europa cup game

     

     

    I'd be ECSTATIC if this was the case..........however no other names can be added to the squadlist for the games against Llanelli. That was my understanding anyway. Now for the games gainst the Albanian mob (if we get through) that is a different story.
