That's a bit harsh considering the journalist has padded out the story. If the journo hadn't mentioned the system, the phone calls and the Strachan bit it wouldn't really have been much of a piece.
Instead the journo is showing that McGhee not only bought breakfast but that he is an intelligent guy. He also shows that he has a sense of humour and that he is still commited to working for Motherwell and that he isn't letting the stories in the media put him off doing it.
I know what the journo was doing thanks. I think you read what I typed then completeley misinterpreted it.....as well as others that followed you. My point is that such is a McGhee preseason now that more emphasis is placed on what jobs he is rumoured to be in line for rather than focusing on the one he has. No critisicisms, just an observation. However to play Devils advocate for a moment, to make mention of his CURRENT employers so late in a SPORTS article about a football manager whether a personal bio or not....well that certainly wouldn't happen to Strachan, Smith and dare I say Calderwood, Mixu etc. Just another observation

Any of these mock ups going in the window? Would be good to get a proper look at it. If they are might take a short detour past FP for a looksee.

Surprised some of the traditionalists have picked up on the socks yet, they are the ones (i think) that are designed not to fold back over at the top. I think they'r cracking and i think thats the first time we'v had this design of socks.
Also just noticed the socks don't appear to have MFC etc. on them. Unless they do at the toes (eh???) which is a possibility as something appears to be there.

Sales have been fantastic...

Lee,
Give me a PM and I'll make sure all is well with it!
Cheers

Excellent news! Certainly mostly positives coming out of FP at the mo!

Here is hoping for some fan intercaction for Crag's testimonial kinda like they did for Dougie and even for Uncle Phil's match at Parkhead last year. Might bring in some extra pennies.

I have to agree. I like most of the strip but the collar does nothing for me (too much like a Vicar's dog collar.
Whilst I believe the strip is pretty braw it is the collar for me which stops it being perfect. Put the collar we have on our 'current' Bukta one on it and it would have been amazing imo.

Aye, but bet you've got a cheeky one on your mobile or digi camera or something!! Go on.......

Unless I'm mistaken there hasn't been any further mention of Crag's testimonial since the night at the Mega Bar when it was announced. I thought it might be a preseason affair but with the early start due to the European campaign and the Wigan fixture being announced as the only home friendly, I doubt it will happen before Aug 15th.
Anyone heard different/something I might have missed?

Congrats to ALL concerned

Good article but sums up McGhee's current (and would now appear to be standard pre season) status in the rumour mill that it took approx 18 paragraphs into a 26 paragraph story for the word 'Motherwell' to appear.

On a side note the office was pretty busy on Wednesday when I popped in to buy mine. Hopefully we will get an announcement tomorrow about healthy sales due to discount.

Brian Martin for me all the way. Along with Dougie, big hero of mine when I was a kid. Think he is currently in charge of Stonehouse Violet.

Unfortunatley Niall I think you might have seen a Bukta training top that was just released into the shop in the last fortnight. More claret than amber mind you, but has the Well bad in the middle of the strip and was in the shop window a few days ago when I was there.
What time is the strip being released for viewing? Thought that would have been the final teaser............a countdown to 12 pm or something on the fishel site.

Sarah, where did your Dad pick up the turf? Went into the shop to try and snaffle some three quarter length shorts but was told Alan MacDonald was the man to see. How do you go about tracking Alan down? Just trap at the main entrance during the day?
Cheers.

Was going to go for Maros until I saw Graeme Smith's name. He was fantastic this season and never really put a foot wrong since he let a Lee Wilkie header squirm under him at FP back in August.

Pretty shocked Mixu has gone as well. I'd be amazed if Yogi wasn't in charge of the Hibees by this time next week.

Sent you a PM mate!

Got to be Accies, further away it goes the lower the crowd will be.
Exactly!!!

Definatley go for it this year Brazilian. Cracking idea and worth another go so you could count me in. Home or away top......whatever funds we get.
Looking at the other prices above though shows the sponsorship can be a touch flawed. £500 for sponsorship of the Uefa Jersey???? I'd LOVE to see how many shirts they got sponsored with that price.
I snaffled Buzz's Uefa Cup shorts for a five spot on Sunday!!!!
£195 for training gear? Maros never got his sponsored and I picked a set of his up for £20 on Sunday as well. Bit naughty that if you sponsored another player!

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Any three quarter length training trousers left? Players kit? New stock? If so I take it the latter would be available from the shop.
-
Cheers for reply Brazilian. Shame that considering all the effort you put in to get a player sponsored. Did you get training kit sponsored as well. I remember there being a wee bit left over but didn't think it was enough to cover it (maybe rest passed on as a donation to YD I think)?

Just wondering who the lucky winner of this item was?? Go on.....name yourself!

One of the worst I personally witnessed was a 3-0 defeat away to St. Mirren in the Scottish Cup in 2005/2006. Utterly terrible. Can't remember a shot on goal. Pretty sure Sutton scored that day.
So many positives from 2007/08 it is hard to pick.
