Maybe making him Captain at the weekend was the last throw of the dice to keep him. I'm not bothered to be honest as I knew he was off last summer. Very 'UnMotherwell' (as of late) to sign him to a one year deal when they have everyone else tied up longer. I'm sure he will talk to them but what a shocking lack of ambition if he went to them.
