  1. Maurice Ross and Franny Jeffers offered new deals? Not sure about Jeffers to be honest. Not as a long term signing.
  2. Certainly never put up many obhjections at the Sponsor's Night when McCall stated the big man was looking for his move to Celtic In all seriousness though it could happen. If the money is right. I for one have been convinced for a good wee while that he won't be here next year based solely on the fact he is way too good not to have been noticed by managers in the Championship. Another player I'd love to go down South at the expense of another move in Scotland.
  3. Inside scoop Andy? EDIT: Hollis?
  4. I'd imagine in the next two to three weeks mate.
  5. Whit? That is nonsense. Hell mend them if they have a fixture scheduling headache come the end of the season.
  6. Blackpool away. Now yer talking
  7. Never thought I'd see the day Fair play to him for bringing common sense and a bit of perspective to their side of things.
  8. Can see both sides and some of it depends on Crags. Does he want a change, a better deal than what has been offered, been offered a better deal ie Aberdeen, feel his best days are behind him, want a move into broadcasting? Does McCall feel he could get someone who could command a large transfer fee in the future for the wages Crags is on? Does McCall think he could get a better, younger, player, for less money? Who knows. Either way I hope he gets his testimonial match. All went very quiet on that front. Going by Scott Burns we might find out the answer soon.
  9. The five are outwith Sutton and Jennings? Craigan, Gunning, Jones, Ross, and Hollis? EDIT: Forgot Casagolda. Easily done mind you.
  10. I think he meant in relation to who was out of contract and on loan.
  11. I would suggestt the 'dot' was for talking shite just so happens to be a different opinion to my own
  12. True, true....but there comes a time where we will need to take back the offer as we need to fill that position with some quality for next season. I'd imagine/hope the search is underway. Another two weeks or so and Sutton won't and shouldn't have us as an option. In saying that he won't be stuck for offers and those sadly enough will be better, financially speaking, than what we can give him.
  13. Would much rather see him at Huddersfield than Hearts that is for sure.
  14. So what's the point in Everton, Wigan, Bolton etc. preparing for Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea etc. by playing Motherwell? It is as much about fitness and learning to play WITH new teamates than AGAINST the opposition.
  15. Agreed on both counts. The search for a replacement is hopefully well underway.
  16. Didn't realise Mo Ross was injured. Might see him back next season after all. Good read. I hope he continues these next season.
  17. Nonsense. Why is there no point in having friendlies against lower league opposition? Brechin, Forfar, and Ayr didn't do us any harm last summer. We needed a last minute goal to beat Ayr and just scrapped past Forfar. We have very little chance of attracting an EPL Club to Fir Park these days......but then again what would they get from playing against lesser opposition?
  18. McCall might prefer a trip down South although we could have left it a bit late. At the very least we will get a game against Bathgate Thistle.
  19. Miles out our league wages wise. Will find other clubs in the Championship.
  20. Mildy entertaining at times but need to be priced accordingly. Lets be honest if we were ever able to get Barcelona like (I thnk) Hibs and Hearts did there would be some crowd at Fir Park. Sadly, that is not even an option.....and focusing on what comes next takes my mind off what just happened Aye, Motherwell, Carlisle, Hartlepool, and 'Boro in a two day tournament held at Brunton Park. Back up the road to scud Airdie, Accies, and Albion Rovers in another one held at Fir Park. 'King of Lanarkshire' trophy in the bag (obviously) then Celtic on the 23rd
  21. Now that Season 2010-11 is behind us we only have about 8 weeks until the real stuff kicks off again. Seems to get shorter and shorter each year. I'd say we are about 5 weeks maximum away from playing our first 'friendly'. They aren't the best of games by any stretch but when you haven't seen a game for a while they are a nice return to football where you can watch your team (usuaually with the added bonus of a few trialists) in the rare knowledge thay you are not (entirely ) fussed by the result. In recent years our European adventures have put a 'normal' pre season to the side. Which has been a good thing. The fact we didn't know what our summer was going to look like until the back of four on Saturday 21st May might mean we are cobbling together fixtures at the last minute. The dregs of friendly fixtures could await.....but that might suit some. So what do you fancy....whilst being realistic. Second/Third Diviosn teams away in an effort to score a few grounds off the list? One or two so called 'glamour friendlies' with Championship teams at Fir Park? Or a wee tour/competition with lower league teams in Englandshire? That would be my vote. ...............or bury the heid away until we play Celtic at Fir Park on Sat 23rd July

    Tom Boyd

Spot on. Not what I was expecting.

    Tom Boyd

Spoke with Tom Boyd at the MST night the other week. Didn't hide his Celtic allegiances but I thought he was a decent bloke. Not seen the comments he has made. Shame if he has slated our players after the event. No need really.
  24. thanks for the offer but don't take it personally. I just dinnae like your Club
  25. Didn't notice until I saw the pictures in the paper today that the players had a small Phil O'Donnell motif above the PUMA emblem on their shirts. Nice touch. Wasnse expecting too see big Randy sporting a red number as well. Smart so it wiz.
