Painful to think that Alex McLeish spent close to 2 million in his first season, just think what the club could do with that cash these days. Eddie May was another poor signing, attacking midfielder often deployed at full back.

    2016/17 Ins & Outs

I was quite pleased to see Tom Fry listed amongst the subs today as he has done well for the under 20s lately, I was looking at information on him and noticed he was released by Bristol City not so long go. Thought he had progressed through our ranks.

    Pre Season?

1-0 well, Johnson. Apparently a cracker of a free kick.

Quite pleased with the signing of Brill, always impressed by him at Ict - shame about his injury set back the last year or so, hopefully keeps Samson on his toes.

  11. His page stats hasn't been updated since 7th March so adding in the Dundee United and Aberdeen fixture he is at 463. Edit - yeah Soccerbase has Hammell at 463.
  12. Mentioned it a few weeks back in the ins and outs thread, if my stats are correct, Hammell will equal Joe Warks league apperance record, assuming he does indeed play. Great achievement it has to be said in this day and age especially with how frequent players move clubs.

  14. Apparently there goalie was injured with a robust challenge from Paton in training during the week, must be the way mixu wants them to play. Hard to believe the challenges that went unpunished. Even Anier having a swipe at Johnson in front of the ref never even merited a talking. Time wasting and blootering the ball into the stands in a number of occasions, United were one team I didn't really mind but after that performance wouldn't be gutted to see them go down. I was told today before the game we had tried to sign that Edward Ofere in January but were outbid by United. Looked decent for Inverness but not been up to much at Tannadice. Great three points.
  15. Just one for the stattos - I will probably forget about it so I thought I would mention it as it's quite an achievement, our current post war player with most league appearances is Joe Wark on 464. Stevie Hammell is currently on course to elapse that as he is on 461 just a shame the injuries he suffered last year or he would have certainly would have well surpassed that. Brilliant achievement it has to be said.
  16. I know Canning and Tena are injured, no mention of the big guy Lucas missing the game. He is on five yellow cards, do you still miss a game for that? Sounds like they have a number of defensive woes. Think Chalmers is only player missing for us.
  17. Poor show from Accies again not having student tickets available, still swithering if it's worth the £22 quid to sit in the pigeon keech. Hopefully we can build on the positive result from last week, not been the best of games at NDP in recent times, Ali Crawford and Dougie Incontinent will no doubt have a great game as they always seem to be right up for a derby clash, with the latter still particularly bitter about being knocked back from the well on three occasions. Can sense it will be a frustrating game with Hamilton employing similar hatchet man tactics then winge and surround the ref when they feel they have been wronged similar to what we seen at Fir Park a few months ago. 2-1 'well. Oh how I would honestly love to give shitey arse and his team an utter scudding.
  18. The good news is that its only Partick they have left to play with clubs that are currently around us. Tough run of fixtures for them coming up. Great victory tonight, never seen that coming, hopefully we can build on that and start to get more points on board, its been a strange season, if only we could have held out in the games we lost the late goals recently, those additional 5 points would have seen us sitting in 4th believe it or not. I think we have more than enough to dig ourselves out of trouble, just need more performances and a bit more luck like tonight.
  19. Same line up as Hamilton game Ripley Hammell McManus Hall Law Grimshaw Pearson Lasley Johnson Moult McDonald
  20. Not to mention the ball going past Anderson about a foot or so away, could have made an attempt to clear it lol not complaining like, hard fought victory, hopefully keep the momentum going. Good to hear about Ripley signing until the end of the season, some fantastic stops the night.
  21. McGhee confirmed in a post match interview the Ripley is staying until the end of the season. Great performance the night from the big man, certainly came on a ton in tge past month or so.
