    Betty Pryde

The tributes on this page show how highly thought of Betty will always be. I met her through my son while he was recovering from a road accident, and she showed such kindness to him, and also to me. She was a warm caring person who always did her utmost for people, and was very very special. She always took time to speak to me when I saw her. I was speaking to her at the game with Inverness, and also saw her at the Hibs game only a week ago, and she was looking good. So it came as a total shock to here that she had passed away so suddenly. My thoughts are with her family, colleagues and friends, and I hope she is at peace. Betty, it was a joy to know you, and I will never forget you. RIP

No, the policy says that each club is responsible for its own fans whether away or at home.
  3. While I agree that people are entitled to their opinions, there are definitely a few out there as mentioned that sit and moan for the sake of it. Shut up and let the people around you watch the game in peace. I was sitting in the Cooper with my kids a few months back and there were 3 guys right behind me who sat and criticised the whole way through (in a game where we were playing well and won quite easily) but it wasn't just they were criticising, it was the language and they were quite loud, and my younger kid was starting to get a bit scared. I had to ask them to tone it down, and you should have seen the looks I got from them. Thank goodness they eventually left to go to the pub about halfway through the second half.

    Falkirk

Craigan 1st, then Hammell. See Ruddy played alright too. Any news on Jim O'Brien - it looked pretty bad?
  5. Talking bout internationals, are N Ireland still in?

    Standing

If everyone else is sitting the back two rows won't need to stand. It is a Health and Safety issue, and everybody should sit when they're told. The rules are made for a reason, not just because some faceless person has time on their hands. If you are real fans you will sit and save the club from losing money in hefty fines. And no, I'm not Bill Dickie in disguise.
  7. Hadn't heard Dazza was injured. Hope he makes a good recovery and it's not too long before he's back.
  8. Well done Ross, deserves a call up.

    Stevie Hammell

Hammell is brilliant and I hope he makes the 400 game mark. Think he should get a new contract as he works really hard every game he plays. Cmon Stevie Hammell.
  10. I think the boys will be up for a win this Saturday because they won't be happy about last Saturday. My team would be: Ruddy in goal, Moutaouakil Craigan Reynolds Hammell as back line, then let JG decide. I would give Ross Forbes a well earned break but have him on the bench. This would mean he would be rested for the Celtic game. We have a good enough squad but I think the next couple of games at least, Craggs should be back in. By the way, anyone know where Darren Smith is? Haven't seen or heard of him in ages?
  11. All the best Chris, hope everything works out for you. Good to see you back on Saturday there.

    Fair Play

Agree with Rickoza - point deductions would hit the Old infirm where it hurts.
  13. When oh when is Gannon going to bring Craigan back into the team. It is all very well going with the youth and pace option but you also need the experience Stephen Craigan has of leading the team. He knows how to gel the team and instil a bit of confidence in the younger players. That was one thing they definitely lacked on Saturday. Also he works very well alongside Mark Reynolds (who at 22 I think was the oldest player in the team on Saturday) in defence. Come on big Jim you have been like a breath of fresh air but the team need a mix of experience to give the young boys confidence. For example mid season last year we had a spell when Craigan was out injured and we were losing every week, then he came back and we had a good unbeaten run. I don't think that was coincidence. Put him back in the team. You know it makes sense!
  14. I think maybe Gannon will stay longer than a couple of seasons. He seems to be a bit more loyal than McGoo. I believe he turned down the Brighton manager's job to stay at Stockport even though he knew they were going into administration, then what did he get for that loyalty, but paid off by the administrators. But I definitely agree he is a breath of fresh air.
  15. While I agree that Zemamma (his name suits him right enough - "ze mamma's boy") should have been booked for winding the fans up, somebody reacting and throwing a missile could get the club into big trouble as they are being held responsible for fans behaviour at home and away. It takes a bigger man not to react to provocation. And just because Celtic got away with it during the week, doesn't mean we would. In fact the Old Firm seem to be the only ones that get away things.
  16. I think one of the things we lacked today was experience - could have done with Craigan back. The youth is fine for the pace but you need the right mix with experience to balance it. But overall I would agree that Jim Gannon has been doing pretty well for us. Bet they will play a lot better next week as they will learn a bit from today.

    Bill Dickie

As said above, at least he is taking time to talk to the supporters about it. At least if they know the reasoning behind it, ie there are implications for the club, and they are not just getting told for the sake of it, they might take it on board.
