I really couldn't decide who to chose for man of the match because I feel that if I chose someone above the rest, I would be being unfair. The guys all put in a good game 110%.

Good few contenders tonight. Hammell, Lasley, Jennings and Jones. Thought Casagolda played a good game and could well with regular games.

    Rangers

A few good performances IMHO. But Lasley edged it because of his goal. Felt the best of the rest were Jennings and Hammell. But the team did put in a good game and were no push over and as the commentator said, it really wasn't over till the final whistle whereas yesterday's was over before half time.

Put a null vote because I couldn't choose between Randolph, Hutchinson and Hammell. But felt a few of the boys put in a good shift including Saunders, Jones and Jennings. A lot more positive this week.

    Casagolda

Honestly you lot don't half talk a bootload of garbage sometimes. How can you possibly know what a player is like having seen so little of him, because of injury etc. No wonder the guy wants out when he reads this kind of stuff. We might not have had a 20 goal striker but Blackman seemed to be the striker of choice for Brown and Knox, and Gow, though I thought the latter was not great. So maybe new manager fresh start for Casagolda.
  6. Heard that wee rumour today too. But I think McCall had two or three names in the frame for this so ..... who knows?

Chose Randolph today. Played a great game. Hutchinson played a good game. Hope to see him playing more. Ditto Casagolda. Both of them I feel will be good if they get a few starts. To be fair I felt the weather definitely didn't help.
  8. All the best to Mark Reynolds. Gave 100% to the team. Best wishes for the future.
  9. I agree it has to be the 6-6 game. When they started getting the goals back and the atmosphere changed. By the time it came to 6-6 even the POD stand was jumping. And the atmosphere at the end was great. Also enjoyed being at the Breidablik and Aalesund games at FP. Hopefully more good times to come.
  10. Not O'Reilly again already. He was the worst ref I have seen (and I don't normally criticise them).
  11. Well Steve Diggle who would you have had stepping up for the three weeks? Because someone had to be there to take the reins and I don't know who else would have done it any better. It was a particularly difficult couple of weeks with some tough games, and the other factors such as the fixture postponements, and training being disrupted due to the weather. Hopefully now the boys can get back on track. OK it looked like they maybe weren't trying 100% but in any job disruption and uncertainty are unsettling no matter how well paid you are. It is now time to move on and see what McCall has to bring to the job, and what lies ahead for the rest of the season. And all the best to Youngy for the rest of the season in the youth set up.

    Rangers

Went for Lasley for his goal-line save and for trying in midfield without any support from other guys. We need to get a manager for a bit of stability and the players need to pull together.
  13. They could have done that if they didn't have the away fans at either end of the POD.
  14. +1. And I hope the ref will be investigated as I fear the guy had lost the plot.

    Hearts

Felt Lasley played a great game and put in a good shift. Definitely MOTM in my opinion. Good to see him back.
  16. That ref had totally lost the place last night. And a whole load of his decisions were decidedly dodgy. I hope the match delegates were taking note. Based on his performance how on earth could the refs justify their strike because of criticism?
  17. Not Mark McGhee unless he was prepared to move up from Brighton and commit fully to the club - no touting for other jobs or letting players go. Either Calderwood with Leitch as assistant or Craigan as assistant with Leitch as manager would be okay. But it has to be someone who will sign a contract and fully commit to the club. No half measures please.
  18. I would say that the best way to protest would be to get firmly behind the team and encourage them to get back into Europe again. Show everyone MFC can rise above all these goings on.
  19. That was a class interview from Stephen Craigan. The guy talks a lot of sense.
  20. I totally agree with this post. Get up to Pittodrie and get right behind the team and hopefully they can give Aberdeen a pounding. To get three points would be the sweetest revenge.
  21. The way it is put here, Youngie and Craigan would certainly have the club's interests at heart. Wouldn't be averse to Butcher coming back (with or without Malpas), or Calderwood, or Leitch (after all we never heard his version of why he left apart from a few rumours). But I think John Boyle will have his own ideas, and he will surprise everybody.

  23. Wouldn't mind these two coming back, maybe with Gordon Young taking a step up too. But from the other names mentioned, Calderwood would be ok. I mean he had the unmentionables in 4th when they sacked him. But the important thing will be keeping the team's momentum going while they get somebody in place, and not slipping down the table through this. I am so mad about this that my main wish for the season is to stay well above the Sheep which Leitch and Meldrum would certainly have the reason to do.

    Club Statement

I had a lot of respect for Craig Brown but not now. To say he was staying then turn round and leave is two faced in the extreme. Lets hope we go up there and hump them 9-0 now. Hope the team pull out all the stops to show the two of them what they have left behind. Cmon boys we don't need them. Let's show them what Motherwell FC are made of.
