I'm impressed with the support and patience for casagolda.
I bet a few young home grown lads would take a bit of that.
Still great to see we're capable - even for a Spanish fraud
You're right sir.
Couldn't mind if it was last days of McLean early days of McLeish. We looked at him before he came over to the UK permanently anyway. Dunno if Forest was his first stop
Or an inflatable - folk could be seriously 'boinged on the heid' wi wan o them.
Fancy dress could make someone look back take a double take and fall doon the stairs.
Folk going to football these days are one step away from serial killers
Outrage
Stop
Now
if I'm being honest - I really don't know whether Franny Jeffers would be a good signing or not. I think most folk will be in the same boat.
He had it in the distant past and given the right conditions could he do it again? Dunno? is Motherwell the place that will allow him to get himself back on track with a bunch of guys to bring that spark back out? Unlikely? Dunno?
Someone posted his goal scoring stats for the past 10 seasons and for whatever reason they're extremely poor. But in his time at Everton he looked amazing.
Sometimes when we give a player that looks washed up a chance it works. They're not all the calibre of Bobby Russell (or Phil) but hey you've got to take hope from that. Most folk thought he would never kick a ball again never mind be any good. I'd give my left testiclon to see someone like him in a well shirt again.
I'd like to be clear here though (and sieb knows what I am on about) - I did not say or will ever say that Franny Jeffers is a better player than Bobby Russell.
I'm only saying that sometimes given the right conditions and support good things can happen - Like Franny Jeffers coming here and having a purple patch and casagolda's agent being asked to follow through on his offer of buying out his contract.
Therein lies the very bones of this discussion.
He cant' possibly be the anti-christ either.
Some of it self inflicted - some of it mutiny and insubordination
I suppose hunting that fat chunt, professional victim, joker and all round elite athlete / senior pro - McGarry was what maybe offended a lot of people.
Quite an interesting exercise is to have a look at posts on here - then head over to the Scotland thread and see who's all having a pop at Fletcher for taking on Levein.
Not having a go - just saying it's interesting
On monetary value I have no clue what the budget would be - however I think one player for 6 months was the realistic expectation and two for 6 months would be a bonus.
Income over expenditure I imagine won't make for good reading over the last wee while.
The income from recent transfers and cup ties won't have boosted the club running costs budget as much as people think - so I imagine the player budget has been squeezed again.
Fingers crossed for a couple more of the young guys establishing themselves as regulars.
Fingers and toes crossed for the pitch holding up and this years stadium upkeep bill being 'manageable'.
As Steelboy says the accounts will make interesting reading. I imagine we'll still be keeping our heads above water but a couple of worrying trends will be starting to rear their ugly head.
I see we've kinda en masse decided that Charalambous is shite.
This may or may not be the case - I'm not arguing that either way.
What I'd point out is that he wasn't brought in for the 1st Team
