The inconsistency of the stewarding is quite bizarre - and even though folk are putting forward the view that it's ruining their 'matchday experience' it seams that things are becoming more and more puzzling. How long ago was it that all roads outside the stadium were closed to traffic - so you could pile out the ground and get to where you were going by walking on the road. Now you'll get mangled if you don't heed the load haler gang. The inconsistencies about standing are there for all to see - if only they'd open their eyes. In EPL and Championship games week in week out you'll see full stands of people standing to a man. if the OF come to Fir Park they stand to a man. Yet you canny really do that at FP in the home stands. The carry on with the guy in front of us on Saturday was bizarre though. All over the country you see folk standing with their shirts off - Newcastle have almost trademarked it. But don't try it at Fir Park tho - you'll be tellt to cover up. (Based on what piece of legislation btw???????) I know it's minor - but there was plenty of good banter / laughs about it and it had a smile on loads of peoples faces at the fitba. Heaven forbid that should be allowed to happen.

You've gotta love the fat sweaty wife beating knuckle dragging fuckwits that follow the well. Great post by Brazilian which sums it all up perfectly. The thread should be 'Ross Forbes - will he be given a chance?' A young football player who is judged by c***s that smell of sweat, pie grease and pish and need to stand over a mirror to see their own boaby For 90 minutes today _ for a change _ how about - SHUT THE FUCK UP!

This stuff will end in tears one way or t'other

I don't get this one - which we see quite a lot it makes a mockery of the old - "we signed him in the summer and he hasn't made the first team yet so he must be shite" Motherwell don't sign players for cover. They sign them to compete for places. If he's no good enough for the first team - steer clear
-
Geez fuckin peace
-
Motherwell winning the league? There is absolutely NOTHING that would trump that. Motherwell beating Accies on saturday or Scotland winning the World Cup??? I'll have the well win again please. What's wrong with you people?

Was there the usual Twitter update from the game the other night?

More than 'the old gits' can't see a player in Forbes
-
Hopefully the sheer futility of berating players like Forbes will begin to filter through now. Why do we need to single one player out and roast the fuckin life out of him. Support the guy and if the management play him in the right position he'll come good. Not an SPL player, canny run, canny tackle - sounds like last night proved that at least on occasion that's utter bullshit. It's just down to him applyin himself, getting a run in a position he's comfortable and us roaring him on.
-
"Go out and play in yer natural position and forget about the east stand wife beaters - enjoy yer fitba son" Something like that probably. I hope the ref allows him to play on Saturday with his iPod in or something - to drown out bile of the fat sweaty c***s.
-
Tremendous result last night and a great response from the players by all account. well done to the guys who managed up to witness it as well. Uplifting probably disnae come close to what you experienced. Delighted for Forbes - Absolutely fuckin delighted. It's the old 'boo boy target away from home' syndrome innit? No pressure from the wife beaters and a chance to get yer sleeves rolled up and show what you can do. Delighted. Would I play him on Sat? - Dunno - the wife beaters are a real concern. Mibbez stick with a couple of away games before letting him loose at FP. Pleased for Jeffers too - Hope he can relax and enjoy his fitba - a wee Indian Summer would be just brilliant for him. Pleased for the players - shat on by the auld pretenders - Craig "We answered a call from Motherwell to help oot" Broon. What ye never got paid handsomely for the job you done ya auld c**t? Pleased for McCall - well done sir. More of the same.

Thinking things through this morning . . . . . . . I'm firmly in the give McCall time camp. He's our manager at the moment and for a variety of reasons we've come out of this transfer window pretty threadbare and ill prepared for the remainder of the SPL season. Multiple reasons, multiple villains and a fair bit of generall skintness. However Reading through a couple of posts looking for perspective vs our recent achievents etc - which I can agree with to an extent. What do you think will happen if we lose heavily tonight and fluff our lines big time on Saturday? Serious question. Will the board offer up McCall as a sacrificial lamb to deflect from themselves or will they issue a definitive statement in his support. I think we'll get 4 points - however zero out of six will bring about a Malpasesque reaction within the support.

Looks like Flow's flew

However Craig Brown and Archie Knox did fuck all to grow a team. They played some young guys but where they had no workhorse alternative. Our form was on the dip when they left and the Youth Chief took over for three games and even he never took the opportunity to showcase the fruits of his years of work (that still fuckin puzzles me) . The reason we took as big a humpin on Saturday - it could be argued - was down to MFCs dereliction of duty in 'growing a team'. And by the way - everybody that's posting - will be behind the team.

Bravo Bravo etc. What you'll probably find when you read between the lines here is pretty much by and large we're all here posting pretty much because we're going through the highs and the lows and we're all sticking by the team. Sure folk (like yourself) will be able to take it on the chin easy and think nothing of it and move on to the next game. Some will get whatever they need to out their system and they'll be there singing their heart out next game. By and large - that's how it goes. However - whether you like it or not there have been some 'board level decisions' that rightly deserve a bit of scrutiny - leading to a lot of serious questioning of whether folk will continue to spend serious amounts of money following football. That's outwith the shambes that our games governing bodies are presiding over. Like it, lump it whatever

I'd go back to the discussion about the direction of the club. Of course we got humped because we had an inexperienced line up against Internationals I know we need to be realistic. The Sectarian twins have all the fans (due to religion and glory hunting) and all the resources. they have the ball at their feet and their kicking fuck out it. Them in cahoots with SKY are where it's all at. We have dire attendances and we can't be expecting wonders in bringing in players, managers and providing facilities. However we've had ample opportunity to ensure that some of these 'inexperienced youngsters' were indeed NOT inexperienced youngsters at this point in time. Craig Brown had ample opportunity to blend these guys in to ensure that they aren't so inexperienced. It's a disgrace that if Page for instance is someone we genuinely fancy as a well player for the future that he hasn't been brought gradually into the team. There is no excuse for these guys being as wet behind the ears as they were. This day was always gonna come. It's the fact that we haven't prepared for it and gave the guys more experience and developed them as players thats the disgrace - not yesterday's result Things are a mess right now - we're exposed due to our lack of forward planning under Brown and a really poor transfer window. I fear that our new board may be attempting to run the ship a fair bit tighter than Boyle. There may be no alternative. Although if you look at the old chicken and egg scenario - there might not be a ship to sail if we strangle the football side of the club. However if we divert more fund to the playing budget the ship might sink. Absolutely excruciating to watch.
-
I'd agree with that too. I understand all the concerns. I think the jury's still out on McCall myself. He's who we've got and I've no idea if we had someone in our sights that would have been better. In terms of giving the younger guys a chance - I think McCall will do that more than Brown would and I think that's key. I don't know if he'll be able to pull it off - but for whaterver reason he's in place now and we won't be paying him com-pen anytime soon so we need to be somehow getting those plans together.
-
To be fair we're only worried about results. We lose - we have a rant. We win life is good. It should be about much more than that. Today's result is 3 points lost - 3 points we didn't expect - so life begins again at Pittodrie. When we were playing pish under Brown and Knox but still getting points most were OK with that. Stealing a point away from home due to a breakaway had many creaming their jeans. Short termism! - Wee picture! Foolish! Broon & Knox papered over the cracks and we got away with murder due to some old headedness. But the fitba has been pish. It's no any more pish now than it was at the start of the season. Look at our home form - we really have been dire all season - bar a couple of spells / halves here or there. Hand on heart folks it has. We've been pish all year. We've had a 'troublesome' transfer window and we're gonna have to see if we can reach the shore from now til the end of the season - because we've nae rudder and nae oars. It's re-grouping time and we need to begin planning now for next season and further out. Who's in - who's out - who can we rely on who needs to to up their tan or polish their presenting skills. Who need game time / experience. I'm more comfortable with McCall doing that job than I would ever be with Brown. So I'm prepared to give him time. Him and Boyle (or whoever is now pulling the strings need to get together for a fuckin heated heart to heart. Where are we going? What's the plan! That's the critical starting point that we really need to start to see some sort of direction from the club. We're all a bit twitchy - for the first time in a while the short term panickers are as pissed off as the long term laid backers. Time for some real pulling together from all at the club through to the support.

Nah I'm definitely talking about Rangers at Ibrox I think
-
Hope so Tache We've a history of going there against the odds and getting something - although in recent years it's been few and far between. I remember back in the 70s a cup replayat Ibrox that we tried to get postponed because we had such a depleted squad through ilness - but the SFA ruled we had to play it. i remember my old man being livid. We went through them and came back with the spoils. Something like that today would be great.
-
I realise that there will be more questions asked and topics covered in these interviews (well you do hope don't you). But we should realise the way these c***s work and we shouldn't give them material to put in that relates to Rangers (or anyone else for that matter) by politely declining to answer said question and giving full enthusiastic answers to any 'well related questions. A wee bit of a rethinking our position required methinks
-
This isn't a pop at anybody at the club. However. I'm sick fed up reading about How Stuart McCall will feel playing Rangers (semi final) - How he will feel about returning to Ibrox (today). What Tom Hateley remembers about hanging about Ibrox with his da' (all the time). What Steve Jones rememembers about being in the same squad as Magic Buggerer many moons ago (today's press) Surely there should come a time when we politely refuse to cover the question and say "We're here to talk about Motherwell so I'd rather we not cover that in the interview, thanks" In fact personally I'd prefer we told them to "Fuck off, what the fuck relevance does that question have to MFC?". But then I appreciate that I'm bitter, twisted and partizan.

Couldn't find the other thread but another poster had highlighted how much Hutch resembles legendary Geordie tough guy Biffa Bacon from Viz

Exactly right. I've come to realise that the 'you must be seated rule' is unenforceable if the entire support stands. If the police and stewards can make an ad hoc decision NOT to enforce sitting when the old firm come to town, then they're perfectly capable of being tolerant of standing in the home stands too. I'm not asking for a law change. I'm asking for parity with my fellow football fans from the big two clubs. Ok we're not as well behaved as them but i'm sure we'd promise to be nice if .......the police and stewards fucked right off and let folk come to the football and support their team.
