  1. Did he not just manage United for a season in the Premiership?
  2. Felt we comfortably controlled that second half, hopefully we can add to the attacking front asap.
  3. It'll be interesting to see the replays of there goal as it looked well offside with Considonkey interfering with play. Delighted for big Bair.
  4. Colin Steven the ref today. I know we were well beaten earlier in the season but his performance that day ranked just under Stevie O'Reilly. I can see it being a stop start game with a single goal winning it, hopefully we aren't feeling generous up our end.
  5. I'm positive in the last year or so they offered great value family season tickets similar to what we do for the first time plus they gave out tons of free season tickets to Schools in the Renfrewshire Council Area.
  6. According to the guy the runs pie and bovril he previously mentioned that they apparently offered significantly more than us to sign the likes of O'Hara and Mandron. Seems like Lasley is taking the Dempster approach. Not too fussed on James Scott as he wasn't the finished article when he left us and hasn't seemed to have kicked on in anyway.
  7. Scott Burns mentioned we're close to signing right back Callan Elliot, capped recently by New Zealand.
  8. Yeah the Daily Rangers are reporting that it's us and Exeter that want to purchase Nouble for a small fee as well as Hearts gazumping us for Fraser.
  9. Obviously only when when we advanced to the next round but I miss the days of watching the cup action on the BBC on a Saturday night followed by the excitement of the draw where the team names were in blue ball's instead of being numbered. Ideally it would be nice to get a lower league team in the next round again and the ease checks draw each other would do just nicely but we'll no doubt get landed with Millie or St midden away.
  10. I expected more from Alloa today tbh, esph when some of their players have played at a half decent level. I thought it would have been a tricky cup tie but it was a pretty routine win, we were our own worst enemy at times with poor decision making, slack passing and so forth, you could actually feel the frustration as promising moves petered out with a misplaced pass. It's actually annoying to think that they never got into our final third until the 27th minute until they scored with their first effort, then they hardly got in our box again I think it was just the one other shot they managed to test Kelly with right after HT but that was that. Some nice goals today, also enjoyable getting a few back to back home wins. Hopefully we get another lower league team in the next round at home.
  11. We really are our own worst enemy. They never had a sniff in the final third up until that pizza posing nonce is allowed to gallivant into the box unchallenged.
  12. Recent weather obviously has taken its toll on the pitch as its looking a worn. It's scary how threadbare the squad is.
  13. Plenty of familiar faces in the Alloa squad, I think they have 5 ex players but in saying that outwith Conor Sammon the other 4 only made a handful of appearances for the first team. Alloa have been on decent form as of late, undefeated in the last 6. Tricky tie no doubt.
  14. It might not be the most exciting of signings but I'm actually quite pleased with the addition of Halliday, I think his experience and versatility will serve us well. While not as experienced Montgomery came on to a game with St Johnstone last season so hopefully he can recapture that form.
  15. I know injuries are part and parcel of football but it's scary how many long-term injuries that have been sustained in training over the last 5 or 6 years. Carroll, Hartley, Fox, Dunne, and Tanner to name a few.
  16. Yeah in recent times they loaned a guy to Ross County recalled him and sent him to Hibs only to recall him early into the arranged loan to sell him. Hopefully as nothing has been mentioned its just a case of Arsenal having a look at him over the winter break. Three clubs in England recalled their players on New Year's Day least we had the decency to alert Huddersfield that Spencer will serve his suspension if they held off a day. When Mika was injured he returned to Arsenal for a sizeable amount of time to get back up to speed but obviously that's generally the norm with loan players.
  17. Brodie Spencer goes straight into the starting lineup for Huddersfield as they play Man City in the FA Cup.
