Frustrating so far. Back to throwing one in for the opponent. We seem quite lethargic, probably could have done with a couple of more fresh legs starting. We were getting great success with Bair by threading nice through balls not pinging it high. Struggling to deal with there long balls to the big lumps.

Looking forward to the game, despite playing Morton which seems regularly in recent times it always seems to be at Fir Park, perhaps best forgetting our last jaunt to Cappielow though under Baraclough. I don't think the stadium has changed all too much since my last visit in 1991. Morton are currently enjoying their longest unbeaten run in like 40+ years, I think they have went 13 without defeat so far so it'll be nice to bring that to an end tonight. That midweek win has certainly changed the mood somewhat and our recent form is also looking better, hopefully that clinical edge remains as that's what eluded us against Killie and St Johnstone. I see they have a few former 'Well players in the shape of Robbie Crawford and Darragh O'Connor not to mention quite a few veterans like Broadfoot, MacDonald and Power, Imrie has also added many of his old Accies buddies to the squad. It'll be a tough nut to crack but looking forward to a real cup atmosphere, old school ground (with 2000+ 'Well fans) and hopefully we can be the first name advancing into the hat for the quarter final. Just a reminder that it's a 7.30pm KO.

Exactly, we really need to turn those draws into wins. We fully deserved the three points against Hibs, St Johnstone and Killie but that's kind of been the story of our season where we have lacked that bit of quality to get us over the line. Here's hoping tonight under the lights provides us with a precious victory.

We have conceded 6 goals against them this season, at Fir Park they were fortunate with the handball which led to Brophy scoring but the less said about the half arsed attempt to stop both Murray and Loturi at there goals the better, prob best not even mentioning the trip to Dingwall. I feel we have improved quite a bit over the last month but we continually shoot ourselves in the foot. County have been on a poor run, no wins in 8 with the last victory coming against us. If we a serious about getting out of this mess then we need to get the three point tonight, not only would we be six points ahead of them, but they have one game in hand next week against Rangers which you would expect them to lose. It's weird to think that a win could have us sitting a point off of 6th place. Tonights Wishlist but I suppose the win is the main thing. Don't concede from first shot on target Don't concede from set piece Cleansheet Three Points

Some folk need to wring there knickers oot. Thought we actually played well for the best part in horrible conditions and probably deserved the three points. The first ten minutes they never got a sniff but typically the first time they ventured forward they got a few set pieces before they scored with the first effort they had. Quite surprised it stood as it looked a foul on Davor, esph with similar instances he pulled up for incidents involving Armstrong. I thought Paton, Spittal and Bair all played really well together, some nice phases of play but need to be more clinical. Paton could probably have won a penalty as McKenzie was pulling him as he drove into the box but he stayed on his feet. I can't remember Killie having much efforts on goal. They were however happy to volley anything that walked.

Annoyingly they scored with the only effort they have had. Played some decent stuff towards the end there tbf. Lovely finish by Bair.

Probably more to do with the form they're in, Rangers game aside they haven't lost much as of late plus I don't think those two have played much in recent months.

Looking forward to the game today, getting the three points would be tremendous considering the other matches that are taking place today. You would expect Livi to lose at Ibrox, It'll be interesting to see how Aberdeen fare when they get a new manager but they play Celtic at home, and of course you have County vs St Johnstone. It was mentioned on social media that KVV never trained with Killie yesterday so it'll be interesting to see if he will be in the squad, I think most would have expected him to be on the bench at the very least. The last game at Fir Park earlier in the season they kept putting crosses right on top of Kelly and it eventually paid off. Annoyingly you feel that we will need to score at least twice as we can't stop conceding daft goals no matter what defensive partnership we opt for. But in saying that it was a game of two halves and you can't beat the joy of a winner deep in injury time. I think I might have mentioned it in another thread but we're one point better off after 22 games than we were last season, in fact four teams were all stuck on the same points, thankfully as it stands this season Livi are currently marooned at the bottom, it's nice to have that cushion and while we are struggling to win we have only lost two of our last competitive fixtures and considering we have had to deal with injuries, loan recalls etc we can take a degree of confidence from that. It would be nice to turn those draws into wins.

Prob no surprise but saw Mika netted on his Graz debut.

Grant Russell was saying a short time ago that if the 2 million fee was accurate we should be getting 75 to 80k. Essentially he was discussing the FIFA Solidarity Mechanism, to quote him "Each time a player moves cross border for a fee, 5% of it is distributed to the clubs where they spent the ages of 12 to 23. This applies for all future transfers cross border. If a player trained by Club A is now moving from Club C to Club D, Club A will get their slice. The amount is percentage based, calculated depending on the training years. Signing clubs have 30 days to pay up." While it might not be a massive fee I suppose it's nice not to be left empty handed.

I think it was Graeme McGarry yesterday that said we were the players preferred destination but we were simply not willing to compete with the wage demands Killie and Midden were offering.
-
Yeah, he played great in the Scottish Cup Quarter Final Replay against Dundee United at Fir Park and scored in that game as well. We actually tried to sign his old team mate Danny Cadamateri but we were gazumpted at the last minute, as per.
-
According to Scott Burns and Graeme McGarry we went all out to try and get KVV a few weeks ago only to realise that St Mirren had already been sniffing about and offered far more dosh. His run of goals last year was a delight to watch but I just don't see him repeating that, I think Killie will get to enjoy the Kev we saw for the best part, one week magic then the next massively frustrating. Obviously we aren't privy to finances and such but a few reliable sources were saying Killie pushed the boat right out to pick up the tab for the majority of his wages, they must fancy their chances of getting a European spot secured.
-
Too many people getting their Y fronts in a twist. I thought we were one decent striker away from having a good window. We added Obika the day after last year quickly followed by the likes of Casey and Butcher, hopefully we still have some irons in the fire.
-
That's Van Veen to Kilnockie official.
-
Apparently we are out of the running for KVV according to Graeme McGarry as St Midden and Killie are offering double the money.
-
The last forward we signed on loan from Blackburn did not fair too badly. Nick Blackman had like 29 appearances and 3 goals to his name before arriving here.
-
Montgomery is away back to Sellick.
-
I know the forward position is more pressing atm but I see Danny Wilson is on the verge of joining Queens Park, he might have been a decent addition to shore up the back but then again we have plenty options there.
-
Least they can implement the old 2-3-5 formation. I know they were trying to get rid of Stevie May and Jephcott and one other.
-
St Johnstone are about to sign a striker from the Northern Premier League, delving way down the tiers in England for talent. I feel quite calm about it all as it's not unusual for us to get many bodies in on transfer deadline day.
-
Surely Colin Meldrum must pip him in that queue. He had some absolute clangers for us and I know he done the same at Rugby Park.
-
I seem to remember O'Hara signed a pre contract with them around March time in 2022. I can't remember him getting much stick tbh but he thoroughly enjoyed Lamie's late equaliser against Livi which secured the top 6 place for us after it. St Mirren seem to have plenty of money to burn, I liked O'Hara but I don't think it was worth paying a premium for both him and Mandron.
-
Well we're 1 point better off than we were after 22 games last season, four teams were all stuck on 20 points at the bottom at this stage, so its nice to see a side marooned at the bottom. Not trying to temp fate but you would think Livi would struggle to get back into things esph with the likelihood of them losing some key players this week, it'll be interesting to see how the match vs County goes tonight. Obviously Killie have been much improved this campaign despite the likes of Rory McKenzie still getting game time, the game at Fir Park earlier in the season was the proverbial game of two halves whereas the game at Rugby Park was a hard watch as we shoehorned people into positions they clearly weren't comfy with. It'll be interesting to see who we bring in this week, anyway hopefully we make it the third win at Fir Park on the bounce and get that feel good factor back.

Yeah, in the league he has featured in 20 games scoring 3 goals. Still Lillian Gish tbf.
