  1. He'll get total indifference from me. Ignore him. He's just looking for attention and for his f*cking giant head to get noticed.
  2. Ross County weren't relegated...
  3. Thats a pretty accurate assessment..
  4. Options are: USUAL MOB Jim Duffy, Bobby Williamson, Jim Jeffries, Jimmy Calderwood etc etc FORMER PLAYER/MANAGER Luc Nijholt, Paul Lambert, Gary McAllister, Billy Davies, Terry Butcher, Tommy McLean LOWER LEAGUE Ian McCall, Gordon Chisholm, John McGlynn, Brian Reid MYSTERY MESSIAH Someone totally from out of nowhere I wouldnt go near Lambert or McAllister..infact throw Tommy in there aswell. Billy Davies wouldnt come to Fir Park again..if Bobby turns up for an interview i hope we switch the lights off and hide behind the couch until he gets bored and heads to Greggs. I hope that Boyle has someone out there that we havent even thought of, in my view the list looks pretty bleak. I'd take Calderwood..i like the look of Brian Reid at Ayr Utd and Luc would be more than welcome back at Fir Park.
  5. 2 o clock on a monday morning.....as long as we dont get shifted for a replay of the sailing..
  6. Thought he was our most consistent player this year.....consistently on the bench!
  7. Spent 3 months living in Motherwell at the age of one....(can obviously remember nothing about it)...since been living in Renfrew/Paisley area for over 24 years.. Raised by a mother who had no interest in football and a father who had a vague interest in Blackburn Rovers... Wasnt really interested in Scottish football growing up, used to watch Arsenal, Blackburn Everton...had been to watch Rangers and at Parkhead with friends, whilst my cousin decided to take me to a few Ayr United games up and down the country in the hope i'd be an Ayr converter... With the tv crap, and none of my friends kicking about i decided one day to go and watch a game at Fir Park, only being 30 minutes away..pre season friendly against west ham... Next week was cheering on the Well against St Johnstone in the league, and the rest is history....Once the Well hooks you in, its hard to ignore.

    Canterbury

He does look like a mad shagger...
  9. Mixed bag from Bob, fitness was pretty poor in my book, but good range of passing and a few cheeky free kicks that will be missed this season.. Having watched alot of the Perth Glory games he'll hopefully fit in alot better over in the A League where its not as fast and as furious as over here and one of the top strikers is Eugene Dadi
  10. AMBITION: a. An eager or strong desire to achieve something, such as fame or power. b. The object or goal desired Achieve something?...Well McGhee has achieved 'realistically' all he'll ever achieve with Motherwell. A top 3 finish and into Europe. Aside from a cup win thats it for us. If theres one thing missing, or even one thing he owe's us from his time here is a decent cup run...maybe that will be his ambition to stay and have another crack next season. Goal desired? The guy obviously has strong ties with both Aberdeen and Celtic, ties we probably dont appreciate because we're claret and amber to the bitter end. But if i was sitting as Manager of St Mirren..or Inverness, and Motherwell came in for me..i'd be there in a shot. Boyhood dream an all that jazz. The ambition to manage a club i supported as a boy, or a club i played with and had good times with. We know looking in from the outside that Aberdeen aren't a million miles ahead of us, double the amount of fans (still relatively small for a huge city), a wee bit more money. It might bamboozle us why he'd want to go there. But end of the day if part of his heart still lies up north, then fair enough. Mark McGhee is the best Motherwell manager that i can remember in my time supporting the Well. I'd be gutted if he went. However, i can understand him going to Aberdeen or Celtic alot more than i could Hearts last season. IF he does go, then thanks for the memories and all the best. I hope it is over with sooner or later so we can all look forward to another European tour and a crack at a cup and the top six. Mon the Well!
  11. YYYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSS Mon the well!!!
  12. Bobby's win record.. Killie...37 percent HIbs...37 percent Plymouth...33 percent Chester...28 percent He done reasonably well at Killie.. This is the opinion from the Sunday Herald of Bobby at Hibs, which doesnt sound a million miles away from describing the 'Malpas Era' "The only real risk Hibs take nowadays is in attempting, time and again, to settle for the draw with a defence that should never undertake such a gamble. The only fragment of style they still possess is in the club badge. Yet the entirely visible problems presented by their lumpen style are exacerbated by Williamson's selection choices, particularly when it comes to substitutions. Some of these have been bizarre, to put it mildly. You get the impression that the players scarcely understand what is expected of them. Certainly their confidence is close to being non- existent. Equally, it is impossible to imagine that much remains of morale when the coach states, baldly: "I can't do any more with them." As admissions of defeat go, that one would shame an Iraqi general. " Czaba Laszlo seems to appreciate the work he done at Uganda.. BITTER Csaba Laszlo last night launched a furious blast at Bobby Williamson and Uganda after seeing two years of hard work crushed in just 90 disastrous minutes. The Hearts gaffer took time from preparing for today's encounter at Falkirk to survey the wreckage of his former team. Laszlo left Uganda two months ago having steered the country to the verge of their first African Nations Cup in 35 years. Williamson took over and with two games to go, qualification was there for the taking. But last weekend in his first game Williamson's Uganda were beaten 3-1 by Niger - a team that hadn't registered a single point in the group until then. Laszlo admitted he couldn't understand why Williamson had not spoken to him before the game for information. Some comments from Plymouth and Chester fans looking fondly back at their time with Bobby... "I remember him as a very poor manager who could be somewhat arguementative, and was very relieved when a proper manager turned up who knew how to do the job. No matter what people say, when your club is in trouble, being a regular drinker down on the Barbican is not exactly a good idea for any CCC manager. It was bound to fuel rumours, true or false, and was a bad judgement call" "BW- fine man, personable, friendly, erudite, he called me at work too and met us down the Brass Ass. However, an Argo manager drinking alone at the Miners every Friday? Not good is it?(not hearsay, I saw him there on numerous occasions and have only just now commented publicly.) BW - crap manager, failure at every club he's been at - inc Hibs, have a peep at their fan site." Chester.. "The Buck stops with the Manager, Promotion hopefuls to Relegation Dog Fight in 2 months " "When everyone finishes wiping the tears away for Bobby 'footballing genius' Williamson you'll realise that actually the guy knows nothing about how to manage a team. I agree that this may not solve some of our club's underlying problems but Bobby certainly made a bad situation worse. Say what you want about our players but they're better than our recent run of dismal form suggests. We've looked so inept at times its unbelievable and the manager has to take responsibilty. Like it or not, we've got a better chance of survival in L2 without him." Thats enough for me to hope that John Boyle stays well clear! _________________
  13. This is all mental...Calderwood gone, McGhee linked, question marks over the fair play place, Strachan 'heading' for Sunderland, McGhee linked with Celtic But aye, i'd take Aberdeen's ex-management team in a second
  14. I'd rather not have Butcher...no point going backwards
  15. Still convinced that one of the 'older' stewards sitting down at the front of the east stand (south side) had died round about the 20 minute mark. Fair play to the Killie boys, made a good wee noise and were up for the party....still nothing like our showing last year at Easter Road....Conga Conga Conggga

    Kilmarnock

Not much, but would opt for Clarky
  17. Not really bothered with the team put out..meaningless game that will be forgotten mid hangover tomorrow morning. On to the other topic though, for McGhee not to acknowledge the fans at the end is disappointing. For such an intelligent individual he seems to display some amazingly naive/ignorant actions. He's maybe not a chest thumper or a scarf twirler, but for christ sake a couple of half hearted claps in the middle of the park after spunking the amount of money we do following the well home and away is surely not too much to ask!
  18. Here's hoping... Cracking player, and could end up saving us a bob or two (which we dont have anyway) long term
  19. Less we forget!! Just out of interest who do you think would walk into our first team from that squad.. Motherwell: Marshall, Corrigan, Craigan, Kinniburgh, Fagan, Foran, Kerr, Fitzpatrick (Clarkson 88), Paterson, Scott McDonald, Hamilton (Britton 85). Subs Not Used: Corr, Higgins, Connolly, Keogh, Smith Aside from Craigan (Fitzy should not be in the first team)...i'd probably take back Corrigan at that point, McDonald and Paterson
  20. Missed a large bulk of the season being in Australia..so yeah, it seem to of flown in. A few changes on Saturday, bring in a few of the younger boys... Probably Buzz and Hughes's last game for the club. 2-1 Motherwell... roll on next season
