  1. Agree with most of you guys, playing 4-4-2 with Murphy and Humphrey as 2 of the 4 in midfield would be suicide at Hampden against Celtic. We must play 4-5-1 in my opinion. I would go with Randolph, Ross, Hammell, Craigan, Hutchinson, Hately, Lasley, Jennings, Humphrey, Sutton, Murphy. With a bench of Gunning, Jeffers, Jones, McHugh and Hollis.
  2. I'm making my own way from EK to Hampden tomorrow and going to have a few pre and post match refreshments. Was in the Monford before the LC semi earlier this season and it was great but wrong end for us this time round. Are people heading anywhere in particular? Church On The Hill maybe?
  3. My god, how good was Tommy Coyne?! Even better than I remember! Tommy Coyne ma lord, Tommy Coyne
  4. I'd be surprised if one of the ugly sisters doesn't come in for him (presuming the betting scandal goes away). Hope I'm wrong but he'd do a great job in a holding role for either of them. Could deffo cut it in the lower reaches of English Prem IMO.
  5. Thats the team I would play. With Jeffers at the ready for Hately or Ross if things arent going our way.
  6. No Hutch and no Jennings. Eh no!
  7. No Stevie Hammell and no Tom Hately? I think they will both play instead of Ross & Gunning and apart from that you have it spot on, although he could play Ross at RB with Hately in midfield alongside Las & Jenno with Jeffers on the bench if hes not fit or if McCall wants to play it a little tighter.
  8. That was shocking. Can't believe how bad we were after the first 20 mins. pen is a terrible decision, however we got what we deserved, bugger all! Killie are alright but remember we played them off the pitch at FP only 6 weeks ago (all be it they pinched it at the end). We missed Las big time and I just thank god we have Las, Jeffers & Hammell all to come back in, whole team was poor today but special mention for Forbes & Murphy, think my 5 year old daughter would push them about, don't want to see either of them next Wed. Only good thing to come out of today was that I kept my £20 in my pocket!

    Dundee Utd

Lasley for me, thought he was all over the place! However, Sutton, Jeffers, Hammell and Randolph all deserving of a mention! Hately, Saunders & Murphy not so great.
  10. Looking at the fixtures, St Johnstone, ICT & Hibs all play after we have played our last game before the split, hence potentially having the huge advantage of knowing what they have to do, if anything, in their last game to overhaul us (Dons, Utd or Killie). Surely this is an unfair advantage? Anyone know why that is? Looks like our last game before the split is on the 9th April at Swinecastle, whilst Saints & ICT play the following Saturday and Hibs play the following Sunday, I think that might turn out to be crucial, but only time will tell.
  11. Have to agree with mfc88, fail to see what Fitz offers to be honest, other than the fact that he's left footed so maybe offers balance in that sense. Unfortunately he gives the ball away regularly, doesnt win many tackles, doesnt score many goals and for me is just not involved enough in a game to justify an extension. In saying that I suspect he'll get another 6 months to allow McCall to make his own mind up and if he does I will continue to support him when he pulls on the C&A!
  12. Would have Porter back in a second and anyone who says they wouldnt has gotten carried away by Sundays great performance by Sutton & Murphy. Also, never be Lee McCulloch's number 1 fan but I would have him back also.
  13. Hope to hell he stays, although it now seems unlikely! He has been off the boil for three games, yes only three games (Hearts, Rangers & Hamilton, as he didnt play at Parkhead and scored at St Mirren Park), with two of them against two of the top three and whilst the rest of the team have been have also been playing poorly. I for one think he is the best striker in the SPL out with the Old Firm. God only knows we could do with some good news......
  14. I'm in the same position wellmanandy, normally travel with my dad but he's not going through tomorrow. I'm in EK so going to Wishaw for a bus is a bit of a waste of time, really not sure whether I'll make the drive through my myself or not
  15. Anyone got any news on whether the club have received tickets from Denmark as yet? Called at 9am and was told they were on there way but they didnt know what time they would arrive. CAn't get through no
  16. Thanks Flow. Appreciate the info, and looks like everyone who wants a ticket will get one, don't imagine we will take over 1560 over. Also appreciate that you guys must be under a lot of pressure right now with new sponsors being announced, European away packages to be arranged and sold, tickets for Home & Away games in Europe being organised and sold and the start of an SPL season only days away. Cheers
  17. Thanks Coolhandluk, however I think that links just for trains to and from Germany!
  18. My Dad and I looked at that Prestwick - Gothenburg return but as you say we can't get back from Odense to Gothenburg on the Thursday night or the Friday Morning for the lunchtime flight. Thought about hiring a car but not likely to be sober enough to drive at 6/7am on the Friday never mind the Thursday night! Now going out on the Prestwick - Gothenburg flight and back from Copenhagen to Gatwick on the Friday night with Easyjet, overnight at Gatwick and back up to Glasgow on the Saturday with BA. Five airports, four countries, three airlines, one game of footbal, must be mad! Staying in the Odense Congress Centre Wed & Thu. Just trying to wokr out how to get from Gothenburg to Odense but a least we only need to do it one way! Looks like airport bus to Gothenburg centre, bus from Gothenburg to Copenhagen and train from Copenhagen to Odense, not booked that yet as still hoping to make the journey a bit quicker/easier someway! Live in hope. Mrs raging as I have just about spent every hour since the draw was made looking at flights, hotels, public transport etc etc. Its all fun, especially if we get a result!
  19. I'm not often compelled to post on here but can I assume you think the shite he took was unjust? Appreciate I've only been watching The Well for 30 years (a lot less that some on here) but in that time DA would happily walk in to "the least effective and most annoying team" during that time. He constantly hid through games and took virtually no responsibility, not to mention his obvious lack of talent (that was seen in what he did with the rest of his career after being with us). I, for one, celebrated the day we got shot, fair play to him if he turns out to be a better manager than player but lets be honest it wouldnt be that bloody difficult!!! Fair enough if he does take more pleasure from it but the fact that you would like to think he would take more satisfaction in denying us a place in Europe is frankly a bit bizarre!
  20. I've heard just this morning from someone who knows one of the two players heading to St Johnstone rather than us, he says that we were matching St Johnstone in terms of fee and salary, however we wanted to pay it in two instalments and they were willing to pay it all now, hence why Livi sold to them and not us.
