  1. I was referring to the League position, mate.

    Can't argue with that, we're just hoping that our new manager keeps us away from the usual last game or two nerves that we've had to endure the last four seasons.

    The recent signs are very positive, not just the couple of decent results but our general play has been much better.

    The bookies have you guys as favourites, there not wrong very often, although today they will be. :)

    Hope it's a good game. :blink:

  2. Its not the fact that its against a "lesser" Club in the League, its the fact that They are doing pretty badly at the moment and need a win, 9/10 that win'll come against Teams like Motherwell, Dundee Utd, Hearts and Hibs.

    :):blink::blink:

    Not sure we are, beat Aberdeen (Ok, that's no much of a bonus with Muttley at the helm) beat Dundee Utd away, lost at home to both the OF, having a real bad performance from one of our defenders against Rangers and were very unlucky against Celtic.

    Taking that into account you are playing pretty good overall and, as some have stated, if you really see yourself as a top 4 club really shouldnt lose against us.

    We struggle to keep a clean sheet, only once this season, but have scored in all but 2 games so I'll go for a 2-1 and wish you all the best for the rest of the season. :nod:

  3. Well, in all honesty I am disappointed you guys are out. I thought you would have managed to get through and get one Scottish team into the group stages.

    I've had a quick read through the posts, all sounded very familiar, another "we were roobbed/poor/shite/blah blah blah". Bottom line is Scottish teams are very poor, look over the last 10 years, how many times have we gone out to teams who we can hardly pronounce never mind that we've heard of them?

    I take no pleasure in any Scottish teams going out, other teams supporters tend to forget it's an embarrassment for them as well as the teams going out.

    Your circumstances, going down to 9 men, does bring back painfull memories of the CIS cup final, and one of your more esteemed supporters did post a long and nasty post on our site calling us a laughing stock, how we must feel humiliated, how blah blah blah. I wont go down that route, but he knows who he is. :)

    Have a good season, see you all soon. :lol:

  4. After firstly hearing about Lanarkshires micro-climate on here, we now hear about the first known instance of vegetarian foxes............. :(

    This forum is indeed the fountain of all knowledge

    :lol::lol::lol:

    Aye, funny how the groundsman is seemingly sunning himself in tenerife with cocktails galore. ;)

  5. Solid performance today. We were just beginning to really dominate when LJ got injured and that seemed to cost us the momentum for the rest of the first half. However we did a lot of unspectacular work in the first half which minus Sutton's effort was not terribly close. Second half we didn't start well but a well worked goal gave us a lead we deserved. St Mirren then through everything at us arially and whilst a bit more composure on the ball could have seen us cope more comfortably we did cope pretty well. Another good goal, this time on the break sealed us the win and after that St Mirren really petered out. The referee was appalling. Nothing game changing but he seemed lenient with his cards which provided no deterrent to them leading the arm, elbow or the cynical challenges from St Mirren. But overall we did well today - a professional job.

    Good summary. Nice to see a balanced point of view.

    Well done today, wouldn't get to carried away, we have no creativity and, until the second goal, we had considerably more pressure, albeit with no real flair or threat.

    Expect to see you when the bottom six split happens. :)

  6. What a horrible team st mirren are, absolutely fucking dire. They dont know how to play football. Was very happen with the performance today, solid with some very good football, hope we can keep it up.

    :huh::huh::huh:

    Yes, I was very happen as well. :thumbup:

  7. Some neat football at times, and a crucial, absolutely crucial three points. We werea much better than the visitors in all departments, and they only looked like an attacking threat near the end when the game was done and dusted. This coming week is vital, go through that unbeaten and nick an away win and I'd say top six is looking good. After five defeats on the bounce we've done well to still be in with a chance, now two back-to-back wins (and shut-outs to boot) in the league and there you are, just a point off fifth.

    Give Jack and Victor the job now!

    Regarding the pitch, apparently foxes have been in at the pitch digging it up. That's something no pitch can guard against - unless you get in an Andy Russell-stylie dog to patrol the place. Nothing we could do with the pitch given the recent weather, can't imagine other pitches look like bowling greens anymore and the guys looking after it have done a magnificent job.

    :woop::D:D

    Fxsake, widnae like to meet them foxes, must be bloody massive. :lol::lol::lol:

  8. We're gonnae take pelters for the pitch , especially when it comes to time for the semi final

    Great result against a team we normally struggle against today, especially after Monday's costly loss.

    Another goal for Murphy can only be a good thing , the more confidence one of our only players capable of scoring has the better

    Deserved win boys, we huffed and puffed with no real threat.

    Pitch is a shocker, usual SFA, showing no thought putting the semi final on this joke. Got a feeling the ball will be securing lots of air miles in this game. :woop:

  9. Its usually a very tough and tight game against the Buddies. They haven't been hammered by anyone this season so I'd be surprised if we enjoyed a comfortable win.

    Team wise a lot depends on the fitness of the Duke. Hopefully he's got over the kicking he got on Monday, if so I expect us to win. I'd re-instate Sutty up front with him and play both O'brien and Hump on the wings to provide ammunition.

    I'm going to say 3-1 to us as I'm in a good mood, although it could be anything today!

    Mon the Well!!

    :huh::huh::huh:

    Gonnae no dae that? :lol:

  10. Hello again ladies and gentlemen, looks to me like two teams who don't really have a clue. Not sure if Jack & Victor can raise your spirits after your mid-week shambles.

    As for us, well, like I said, no clue on how to win a game.

    Saying that I'm going for 1-2 only because your lot are always very generous to us. :lol:

  11. This Celtic side may be one of their worst in recent times but are still miles ahead of us.

    Motherwell to open the scoring with Lukas getting the goal, Celtic to go on and win 3-1.

    I agree, both the OF are poor this season and I think they could be split by DUtd. The truth also is the rest are incapable of putting a run together after getting something from the OF, dropping points against supposed weaker teams.

    I think with home advantage you guys can get something, as long as you start positive, sit back and it's same old, same old.

    1-1 for me. Good luck. :lol:

  12. This Aberden side is one of poorest in living memory. We should win this, but we should have won at Pittodrie and didn't.

    1-0 will do.

    Agree 100%, they are poor, McGhee really wont be able to do anything to influence the game apart from giving you boys someone to abuse during your comfortable 2-0 win.

  13. See they only lose to the big teams? :nod:

    I thought they were poor against a very poor Celtic side. Apart from last week I think you have been more than reasonable, yes maybe riding your luck sometimes, nothing wrong with that, I'd doubt you will lose, at worst a draw.

    1-0 you guys, let's see. :lol:

    Can I become your good luck charm? :lol:

  14. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaait a second. We (myself included) seem to be basing our predictions on one weeks form. Aye, we were pish on Tuesday and Hearts were pretty good against Celtic but let's not forget, Hearts have been pretty crap in the league.

    So far they've beaten Kilmarnock and Hamilton.

    Drawn with St Johnstone, Aberdeen and Falkirk.

    Beaten by Rangers, Celtic and St Mirren.

    Hardly a team we should be scared of.

    See they only lose to the big teams? ^_^

    1-0 you guys, let's see. B-)

  15. No need to gloat mate, you guys thoroughly deserved to win, don't mind admitting it either.

    Yer right, sorry.

    Watching the Tic v Hearts game, really, both teams are poor. Wee Aiden, considering his religeon, should be better at crossing. Could be THE most over-rated player in the SPL, his final ball is, well, shi*e.

    Heart's have had a few chances but don't sustain any attacks. If you guys go for it I'd fancy you to win, honest.

    Good luck and see ya at our next game. :thumbup:
