  1. Hello all my Motherwell friends. :O

Before we get into the usual name calling I have to say, your "European" adventure seems to have been a good move, not what I thought at all. I also have to say I have been impressed with your style of playing, new manager seems to have things under control.

Shows you how Muttley was dragging you down, only have to look at Aberdeen. :P

Back to business, hard to call, you are playing well (No pun intended) and we are on the crest of an amazing 2 game run.

All in all looks like 6-0 us.

    Enjoy your day oot. :D:doh::lol:

  2. YES LADS - "i" IS BACK!!!!

40/1 ?? i'm gonna have some of that too! Tomorrow is too close to call!

I coudnt back Saints, but, I feel the same as you lot do in that , we can win it, but so can wellies!

Recent 2 seasons have proven that there are no BETTING opportunities to be had.

Have a great day at our luxyoooooriusss new grunn!!

(Feel free to buy me a pint before if you like!)

You get oot O' here, only in here to cause trouble. :D

  3. So history is going to be made. first Scottish team to overturn a first leg home defecit

Sure is, be proud, very proud.

    :lol::lol::lol:

Well done, could have been nervy if they had scored. Take the plusses, hope Sutton keeps looking interested, was a weakness of his, plays when he wants to, congratulations. :D

  4. I believe.......

..........the children are our future? :)

I hope you win, could go any way, an early goal for you boys and they could fall apart, if it stays 0-0 for a while, then the nerves could kick in and bottles will be crashing all over the park.

Wouldn't stick any money on it, I'm going for 6-7 with defences on top. :)

  5. The SPL report says they made £11m profit, including £9.2m from the ground sale. This would suggest that the £9.2m was clear profit from the deal.

Bear in mind that the new ground is situated in Ferguslie Park where land prices average 40p an acre. Add to that the price of a large meccano set and a lawn and the new ground looks quite a bargain.

It was 40p, due to the current credit crunch dropped to 15p. :)

Lawn.............check it out in the Oxford dictionary, mainly made of strange stuff called grass. :P Completely different from sand.

  6. If lack of television money means that the clubs get their finances in order and start focusing on the development of home-grown players, then I think it will be beneficial for football in the long run. Even in the SPL there are too many overpaid players of average ability.

    Agree on all the above.

Back to topic, team to go down..................... Rangers. :P

  7. According to the SPL financial report that was just published, St. Mirren sold Love Street for 9.2 million and made a net profit of almost 11 million. However, there wage bill rose 15% and their attendances fell 19% from the previous year.

I wouldn't argue with them figures, we are fairly stable but with the recent Setanta disaster this could hit quite a few clubs. Setanta could equate to almost a third of most clubs income, thats quite a sum to make up. There are certainly other clubs who will be shi**ing themselves already, we aren't one of them. :P

If we don't improve on the pitch the attendances will continue to drop. :O

  8. Aaah, thanks for that WellFan, McGarry it was. I thought that was him finished aswell - couldn't believe the tackle myself.

Time wasting - how could I forget. Their keeper was an embarrassment. What was laughable was within the first 20mins he went to take a goal kick, placed the ball down, took a step back, looked up stepped forward and took the ball to the other side.

Nice bit of sportsmanship and fair play! <_<

Any more of that and they'll no get back into Europe.

  9. Had sold 1500 plus tickets by last midweek. I don't doubt there will be more going now given the tie is still in the balance.

That's more than good, considering. Suppose the holiday period helps, make it more than just the match.

Hope you can get an early goal, that could set their nerves into overdrive. Got to remember, they will be shi**ing themselves, a bigger deal for them than you boys.

All the best, seriously, not good for Scottish football if you go out at this stage.

  10. Our so called "quality" deal with Canterbury.

Our desperate sale of any of our half decent players.

Our loss to a part-time side (not just a friendly but in a European competition and therefore reported across Europe)

Our official announcement of first signing and (likely) imminent retraction.

We must be the laughing stock of Scottish, if not British, football right now.

Who reckons Jim Gannon might just decide to buy himself out of his contract?

Maybe if we are lucky we could get Paul Hegarty back to oversee our descent to the first division?

You should do what the OF are trying, get yersell a transfer to the Welsh league. :wallbash:

No, better to make it the Irish league, Welsh is obviously a bit to difficult. :P
