Shocking. We should be well out of it and I'd heading to the pub but by a miracle it's only 2-1. Nothing going forward and the defence has been dreadful. Fullbacks sold a goal each. That Robinson woke up this morning and decided to play a Dunne-Fisher left hand side is terrifying. Bowman is doing his usual huff and puff to zero effect and Rose is in no way a footballer.

Did we not start with a back four during the week? I was hoping the back three was abandoned.

His last few performances were a disgrace. Zero effort.

I don't think his fitness is that bad. He has only scored the two free kicks but with better finishing he could have had a couple in both the Rangers and County games. As a few people have said it seems more mental than physical. He missed a few easy chances against Berwick which probably effected him and then got drawn into scrapping with Alves and Cardoso rather than concentrating on his own game against Rangers. On the highlights from last night his body language looked poor and he got booked again needlessly. He'll only get past this by putting the ball in the net.

I'd like to see a 4-4-2 Carson Tait Kipre Henneghan Dunne Cadden Big McHugh MacLean Moult Fisher Moult is always better with a partner.

We signed him right on the deadline so it's possible his agent got a few extra hundred quid a week when we had no other options. McGhee had parted company with reality so anything is possible.

Jacob Blyth got a two year deal with a third year option, 36 year old Lasley got a second year option, chronically injured Hammell and McManus got two year deals, we signed Lee Lucas three times in seven months and Luka Belic happened. It was an odd window.

That was always likely as it means no league fixtures need to be changed.

If Cadden, MacLean and Bigirimana can regularly chip in with goals from midfield then this could be a decent season.

Great to see Bigi getting his first goal. Cadden and Moult involved so the celebration will be epic. I don't want to jinx this but we haven't beat a Premier League team in a cup since March 2011......

No one suggested that. The rumour seems to be that Rangers objected to him playing for the same reason they wouldn't let him train with their players during his loan.

Watching the goals McHugh wandered away from Miller at their first goal.

The Randolph-Hateley-Hammell-Reynolds-Craigan defence was immense.

Mchugh and Moult were below par but they'll contribute a lot this season. Before today I was worried about the defence. Henneghan had his best game and looked like a leader. Kipre was superb (It looked like Bruno Alves told him he had a great game at full time). Dunne had a couple of shaky moments but a 6 foot 2 defender with pace will be an asset. The back 3 is a disaster waiting to happen so hopefully we've seen the last of it.

Any word on Bigi? Injury or a modern day Eric Liddell?

Dorrans and Alves are good signings for this league. No idea about the rest of their signings but they are favourites for a reason.
