  1. Happy Clapper Manifesto 2017..... I see where you are coming from but if we ever want another day like the 91 final or Nancy we'll need to take every opportunity to improve. It's obviously down to the manager but there's no harm in discussing it here. Until we win this league cup, then we'll all be happy clapping and stalking players on twitter asking for retweets.
  2. I'm struggling to think of anyone who has really let us down like that. Sutton, Hutchy, Simo, Lasley were superb in their final months and even Ross McCormack and Skippy who are bams still showed a lot of commitment and contributed to third and staying up respectively.
  3. Celtic will be trying to get the game put back until after Christmas because of their European games.
  4. On Thusday we started fast, scored twice and made Aberdeen play at our pace. Today the first 25 minutes were completely toothless, we had a decent 15 minutes without scoring, they had a decent 15 but did score. They nullified Bowman by changing to a back four and our lack of creativity beyond hammering it up the park and chasing it hard was on show.
  5. Five Scotland caps in that era is an impressive feat.
  6. That was a great performance last night. I wasn't sure if the players would be able to get up for an important fixture so early in the season but our team were the ones who played to the importance of the fixture. Hammell was brilliant. Swapping Henneghan for Hartley and 400 grand could be some of the best business we have ever done. Campbell was superb again, gutted he didn't get his goal.
  7. This sale won't reduce the society's stake by much at all even if they do sell 1000 shares. I don't think that would even equate to 1% of the club.
  8. What's the script with queues tomorrow? Free for all or is it worth getting a ticket in advance?
  9. On Saturday Tait was better in both directions although Cadden came on strong in the last 20 minutes going forward. He struggled defensively the full game. The solution is play them both on the right and we'll score plenty of goals from their crosses.
  10. Going by the last two games Tait is a better wing back than Cadden.
  11. Aye I don't think that being unlucky with the break of a bobbling ball is as bad as switching off and losing your man. As for a cross coming in so what? There are dozens of crosses in every game.
  12. Kipre didn't do anything as bad as Dunne losing Murray and Boyle and it was nothing to do with formations just really poor defending. He'll be out the team on Thursday anyway and ideally we keep a clean sheet.
  13. I agree but he's got an impossible task with the massive gap between him and Cadden. That needs sorted or Aberdeen will punish us.
  14. If you watch the highlights on the club Youtube channel you see him (1) Completely lose Murray who should have scored (2) Completely lose Boyle before the penalty (3) Get out jumped by Stokes at the back post. All before half time. There was also another very similar header and a NFL esque tackle that the referee somehow ignored. You can argue that he has been hard done by with reffing decisions but his style of play is always going to lead to that. He's got some catalogue of errors for only having played seven games against Premiership teams and he'll either need to cut it out or he'll be out the team. We've got a bit of squad depth now so it would be good to see what Plummer offers or use Hammell as Robinson did last week.
  15. I see what you mean about Rose he doesn't win the ball, make incisive passes, offer a goal threat, win headers but he's definitely running about.
  16. They fell apart as soon as we put a bit of pressure on them. I wouldn't say they are well coached. An enjoyable game. If we can sort out the defence, ditch Andy Rose, get Cadden and Tait linking up on the same side and play through Bigirimama there is a very good team in there.
  17. Causing havoc all over the pitch and missing a few chances. Played well.
  18. The last three results have been good but we were still rotten in the first halves versus County and Killie who are very poor before rejigging the formation and being much better second half. If we start three at the back today I think we'll see the same problems as we saw in the first half against Rangers and to a lesser extent against Hearts.
  19. Moult scored two playing up front alone against Celtic last season. He just needs to stay in the middle and wait for service rather than drifting out.
  20. You might be right but I think we need to prove a few things before we can go and attack against better teams. I'm less bothered about tomorrow than Thursday night which is a massive game but the defensive performance in the first half against Rangers and against St Johnstone is still in my mind. These next three games are a step up. I'd go.... Carson Tait Kipre Hartley Dunne Cadden Campbell Bigirimama Mchugh Tanner Moult
  21. It'll be interesting to see if we go with two up front tomorrow. I can see the case for both sides of either Moult up himself or continue the partnership with Moult and Bowman. I just hope we don't end up playing like we did in Perth with a striker playing on the left wing and being completely ineffective.
