He's getting paid for two weeks. What does he get if he gets injured? You can't expect the same level of commitment from a guy in his position as we would expect from Cadden or McHugh.

That and the Lasley OG in the League Cup in 2001 were sore ones.

Just googled and we are due 1% of the total fee (0.5% for each of his two seasons). So if it is £12m we would get £120,000.

Clay's been there long enough now for a judgement to be made on him. It wouldn't be right to play him on Saturday and let him go on Tuesday.

It's very naive to think that information like that doesn't leak out the club either via local players talking to friends and family or club employees gossiping. Also there has to be a good chance CMWellfan is also Stonehousewell.

How much do think we spend a year on player wages?

Marvin has scored 5 league goals in 49 appearances for us. Mccormack and Grabban are established goal scorers down south.

Given our rank record at Firhill you can get the train to Alloa.

Good to put it to bed. Kilmarnock seem to be in crisis as well so the confidence boost should set us up nicely for next week.

I don't think it's the budget as much as they were told by the BBC review a few years ago to reduce their coverage of certain things to allow commercial companies to survive. Today I'm guessing no one could be arsed going down there.

Sounds a good finish from Cadden. A goal threat from midfield would be huge for us.

Radio Scotland don't have anyone at our game.

Why would they give him a three year deal with such a low buy out clause?

If there was a release clause their fans on P&B were in the dark about it.

It's like the Cowboys in the NFC East.

The Hemmings deal should add a bit of realism to the expectations around Moult and Johnson. Marvin might be worth a bit more eventually but by that point it's either January or 12 months to go.

It's not preseason. For a bit of context we got beat in the 2011 Scottish Cup final on 26/5 and hammered ICT in our next league match on 23/7. There is no excuse for being as poor as we were tonight.

East Stirling at home isn't at all similar to any of those fixtures. Possibly the worst team I've ever seen us face at Fir Park and they found it easy because we were a shambles.

Shocking performance. McGhee needs to get his act together.

Terrible first half. Awful tactics making it easy for ES, only tactic is the ball to Dom Thomas. The trialist looks he came straight from a fortnight's holiday. We could have found a more useful player for tonight at the palace grounds.

You've lifted a wait off my mind and the players will probably have the week off anyway.

McGhee has plenty of experience but he also has another job that takes up a week in September, October and November.

The guy sat in front of me at a game against Rangers a while after that and got launched out at half time when he was spotted. My recollection is he wasn't your classic hero archetype.

It's a bit worrying he will be in sole charge at the international breaks.

Presumably they are around the same level as Cove Rangers so we should be hoping for a similar outcome.
