i didn't respond to this because it's impossible to say what kind of punishment another team would get. there is no evidence that they've done any of those things or will do them in ther future. again you are talking about hypothetical situations. also there has to be a first time for everything.

what would you like me to respond to? we have one guy who thinks that clubs shouldn't use tv income as part of their budget. i could name 50 clubs in europe who do, can anyone name one club who don't? there is no point in responding to this.

european football is in mountains of debt. if clubs were hoarding their tv income rather than spending it that wouldn't be the case would it? why wouldn't clubs spend their tv income? it's fair in as much as we all start on zero points and play the same number of games. everyone has the same opportunity to finish 1st or 2nd if not the same likelihood.

rangers got a ten point penalty, have a punishment coming from the sfa and could have been given newco entry conditional on other sanctions. they are hardly getting off scot free. in what way are celtic cheating? the old firm clubs have far more people who support them and always will have therefore they will always dominate scottish football. that's just a fact of life in the same way stockport are never going to be better than man united or grenada better than real madrid.

show me another country in europe where fans on mass are threatening to abandon their clubs if their demands aren't met or where fans want clubs to invalidate the tv contracts they rely on?

rangers and celtic have never been relegated in 120 years. they have never finished outside the top 3 in the history of the spl. in my lifetime they have never finished in the bottom half of the league. the only way they wouldn't be in the league would be by either resigning or being kicked out or having heavy sanctions placed on them. sky quite smartly protected themselves against those outcomes.

every football club in europe designs their business model around the tv deal. only one country in europe has fans stupid enough to force their clubs in financial penury.

all i want is a club to support. a half million hole in our budget this season is putting that at risk. we are supposed to be taking responsibilty for the club through the society yet the first thing the society does could put us into administration or liquidation. no wonder derek weir quit.

have you not been reading these threads? the majority on here - and in the society - don't care about a jot about the future of our club. sporting integrity is their priority. at least if we go into administration we'll know exactly who is to blame.

these tickets costs are the price of sporting integrity. the club will lose income if the newco aren't allowed in. they have to replace that income from somewhere else. any motherwell fan who is suprised that the shortfall is going to have to come out their own pocket is an idiot.

if the clubs choose to invalidate the contract by refusing the newco share transfer then sky and espn are well within their rights to cancel the contract. they're not a charity.
