When we finished 3rd in 19/20 he was part of a back 4 that were keeping loads of clean sheets and he chipped in with a few goals and assists.
He's miles off being one of our worst left backs.
To be fair Malky was a few Partick Thistle missed sitters away from getting them relegated last season so it's not the same situation as Kettlewell.
Right now it looks like he'll be here for the Dundee game so it has to be win or bust.
It should also be remembered that for all we are moaning things haven't been too bad recently.
May 23 - We missed top 6 but finish playing good football and scoring goals.
May 22 - Qualified for Europe.
May 21 - Had the third best record after Alexander took over.
March 20 - Finished 3rd.
Our current problems stem from Kettlewell's transfer dealings.
People always start moaning about the board when we are losing but you never hear anything about it when we are winning.
We have a simple business model and not much room for manouvre. By far the most important aspect of the club is player recruitment which is down to the manager. Manager uses budget to sign good players and we are all happy. Manager signs shite players and people start slavering about bowling clubs without any suggestion of how we could change the structure.
For me the manager and head of recruitment both need to go. The players brought in this summer are miles off the required standard.
That's it.
Idiotic formation. Expecting Bair and Wilkinson to make an impact as wide attackers. Watching Hearts dominate but waiting until they go 2 nil up to make more subs. He has to go.
The Pyro thing isn't complicated. It's unsafe, unhealthy and stops people from seeing the game. It's not really about creating an atmosphere at the match it's clearly about creating content for social media.
It's not really much to do with me. It's the manager and the players who haven't been in the lead in any of the past 8 games.
Write Ketts a wee good luck letter, that might make a difference.
The Old Firm struggle to break teams down in our league sometimes yet Kettlewell seemed to think he could play through Slattery and Spittal for 38 games.
It's the equivalent of budgeting to get a 5 team coupon every Saturday to pay your bills.
