The first half was strange because we could have been a couple down early on then created enough to be three up at HT. The fact that it was two chances for Spencer and one for Casey sums up how bad our strikers are. We should never start with those two clowns up front again. The second half defending was shambolic. SOD costing us as usual then Gent showing again that he can't defend at all. It looks like we have put our best left back out on loan to Stirling Albion. We need either need to sign an established player or get Wilson back in January because having to play SOD is killing us at both ends of the park and holding Spencer back as well. I think it says everything about this season that we have scored more goals after 90 minutes than we have in the first 45. Kettlewell's tactics are stinking and he better hope Beireth can stay fit because without him he'll be back on Sportscene in time for their Christmas party.

As long as we are playing SOD at right wing back games are going to be a struggle. It's a big day for Shaw and Bair. They need to show something.

"Kevin van Veen is 'very irritated' that he started on the bench at FC Groningen. “There may be opportunities to be appreciated elsewhere later in the season.” Played 7 minutes as a sub then gave a TV interview about leaving the club. Things are not going well for big Kev.

Hopefully two up front. We have struggled without Miller on the park against St Mirren and Livi so I expect Slattery will be playing deeper to compensate for him being missing. If we lose this one then pressure really goes onto Kettlewell.

Watching Chelsea Vs Arsenal and Liam Kelly might not be an international quality goalie but he wouldn't look out of place here.
-
I don't think that's the case at all. If you look at the full squad and the u21s they are both stronger than they have been have been for a while. We are struggling for a striker but apart from that most positions look strong enough for the medium term to compete to qualify for both tournaments. Granny players are always going to be part of the set up and just reflect that compared to other nations Scots move around a lot more. The Scottish Government says it's around 1m people born here who live outside Scotland so that's roughly 20% which is double the figure for England.

Given that he'll be OOC we'll probably have to give him a good wedge of it to re-sign or we'll get nothing. I think he will stay. I don't see him getting any offers from England or Scotland that would pay more and guarantee first team football. I doubt he will do a Gillespie and become a professional backup.

Another week off might not be a bad thing for us.

He's loyal to the guys who play for him. Clark and Kelly don't play (other than tonight).
-
Didn't cover himself in glory there.
-
Clark and Kelly have barely or never played for him. He was very loyal to SOD when Ralston, Cadden and McGinn were showing good form at various points.
-
He's scored some big goals as well. Clarke bringing in Adams and Dykes has been a huge boost. Why we don't produce strikers born in Scotland any more is a mystery that needs to be solved.
-
He'll be suspended for the u21 game Vs Malta at Fir Park tomorrow. Hopefully he can get some minutes against France. From Cove Rangers to the Scotland squad in less than 12 months is some going.
-
Aye it was like he forgot they had a two goal cushion. Max was excellent as were a few others: Doak, Barron, Bowie and Anderson. I watched it on the YouTube stream with SOD on commentary. He said a Scottish Premiership club were trying to get Bowie on loan in the summer which you've got to imagine was us.

Max Johnston with a great cross for an assist at Fir Park. Scotland u21 two nil up after 7 minutes.

St Mirren will run out of gas like every other Robinson team. He's never managed to make that physical style of play successful over a full season. We don't have enough in the final third to get top 6 unless Beireth comes back with KVV level goalscoring. Really we just need to avoid 11th and 12th and try and get someone into the club who can actually assess our transfer targets because Kettlewell clearly hasn't got it in him.
-
St Johnstone look by far the weakest team but do have some fight about them which we generally struggle against. We need to make sure we don't give another easy 3 points.
-
"I'll hang my hat on Theo Bair" 1 goal in 9 starts now. Surely his time as a starter is over?
-
If Miller gets a suspension our midfield will be extremely lightweight for Perth.
-
4 defeats with 1 goal scored is relegation form. A win at Perth takes the pressure off. Coming back to Fir Park staring at our 6th defeat in a row would be make or break. A huge game next week.

Not the only similarity to Deliverance today.....
-
Who's fault is it we don't have a striker?
-
He's miles better than Bair, Wilkinson, Shaw and Obika. Stephen Kelly is a better player than Paton or Spittal as well.
-
So Gent can't defend......
-
Bair wins a header then just stands and watches the game. 2 year deal.
