  1. Wilkinson is so bad yet Kettlewell seems to want to play him as much as possible.
  2. It was his choice not sign a centre back and to drop Mugabi.
  3. Casey is miles better than Blaney. Blaney just ball watches and jog backwards.
  4. We are missing big Bevis. The rest of them are scared of the ball.
  5. Hiding on his line again. Imposter.
  6. Shocking. Ball dropped onto the six yard line again. Harry Paton is a fucking joke. Kettlewell should be away tonight.
  7. Wilkinson should look into walking football.
  8. Harry Paton is stood on the 6 yard line to attack anything at the near post and never moved.
  9. Casey slightly lost him but Paton was supposed to be the spare man to win that exact ball. That's Kettlewell away then.
  10. Comedy goal. Wilko. He looks underwhelmed.....
  11. HIbs did sack their manager. County have drawn 3 their last 3 away games. Livi won a game in October.
  12. If yesterday's longball fest which resulted in 1 shot on target wasn't alarming then I think we can discount the rest of the post.
  13. Funnily enough football has changed in the past 35 years. The economics of TV money are completely different, contracts are different with Bosman. There's no comparison to be made between now and then. Tommy McLean signed Brian Martin and Paul Lambert from St Mirren. Adjusted for inflation the fees are a combined £900,000 in 2023 money. Clearly we can't back managers to succeed via transfer fees anymore. The club gave Kettlewell an opportunity and he fucked it in the summer with his signings. We don't owe him anything else beyond the next two games. Aberdeen have done ok in Europe, are in a Cup final and will almost certainly finish above St Mirren. Robinson has never carried good league form through the New Year for a reason.
  14. Name one manager that survived 10 games without a win recently?
  15. I don't really understand what you are talking about here. The last two times we changed manager almost everyone agreed both interim managers had earned the job. Prior to that we brought in Alexander who is known for falling out with people and had a decent record. Our transfer policy did change under Alexander and it wasn't spectacular but it got us the required results then he went off the boil and was looking for an exit. That's fitba. Being Motherwell manager isn't complicated and it's not about making demands of the board. There's a budget for players, the manager needs to try and dig out a few gems, everyone accepts form will fluctuate but if you hit serious relegation form then it's out the door. If Kettlewell had just signed a few competent players on permanent deals to go into the starting 11 this summer he wouldn't be in this position. I don't think it's overly ambitious to hope for a manager who understands that starting SOD and Bair every week will get you into relegation trouble.
  16. Kettlewell was able to turn Hammell's team around. Alexander got Robinson's team off the bottom and up the league. Brown transformed Gannon's team over night. A decent manager should at least be able to shore us up at the back.
  17. We definitely don't need relegated. We had a decent team towards the the end of last season and needed to replace the players that left. We just need a half decent manager rather than a rambling idiot. Another thing that might help is having someone above the manager who can assess players. I don't think it's a coincidence that Robinson has suddenly managed to stop signing duds now that he has Lasley overseeing him.
