Kettlewell completely fucked that. Twice The Macedonian was a man down and actually assisted their goal. Letting him come back out for the second half was criminal. Changing the back 3 was stupid as well. Then in the second half he waits far too long to put Mika on and somehow takes off the wrong striker. Then when we are starting to look dangerous for the first time in the game he changes the shape and brings on young Ferrie who was anonymous in an unfamiliar role so we are back to basically 10 men and all the pressure lifted off St Mirren. Big questions about recruitment and tactics again and it'll be interesting to see if Kettlewell holds his hands up in the post match spiel.

Good luck to him but their needs to be some sort of review of how we are evaluating players as it's clear he's not up to the standard of our league but he was still extended. We seem to be getting rid of problem contracts but still taking more on at the same time.

We will either need to bring in a replacement or Kettlewell will need to script a 15 minute monologue on Joe Efford's remarkable turnaround. Can't go with just Mika and the two planks who started on Sunday.

We played well in the second half after a dire first half. Everyone was solid and I've got to hand it to Souare who was solid throughout and used the ball well. He also managed to get Spittal off a dead ball so he's my new favourite player. When Bierith created the first goal it was like going from 65 minutes of slomo to fast forward. The second goal was superb as well with Miller winning a header then winning the loose ball, playing a 1-2, then executing the through ball. Beirith did brilliantly to fight for it and get the finish away. Very similar to KVV. We still have a lot to do in improving our attacking play but we were solid at the back and Mugabi was my MOTM but McGinn and Casey strolled it as well.

Sam Nonce is right there as well.

Kettlewell must have been pleased with the performance last week.

I can understand why he's saying this but the fact that we can see him giving 2 year deals to the likes of Wilkinson, Paton and Bair undermines the argument he's making (to put it politely). Stevie Hammell's managerial career was over when he signed Moult and Arrons. All he needed was one decent attacker to help KVV and he would have made it through the season. Kettlewell has had a lot more leeway in the transfer market but if he doesn't produce any signings who can make an impact in the final third it'll be back to youth coaching just like Hammell.

I like Bevis but I don't think he's suited to that position. Last week he kept on rushing out and leaving a huge gap right in the middle of the back 5.

He said he can't trust him in the system, that he was inconsistent in the friendlies and that he only got on last weekend because there was no other options. A clear GTF with the added bonus of moving attention off his own signings.
