  1. I would happily take Aberdeen at Pittodrie if it meant avoiding the Old Firm.
  2. Augh!

    Flag

Which flag? Welcome to Fear Park?
  3. I think the crowd on Sunday will be well down on what we would probably hope for in a game against one of the OF. A combination of our fans already having spent so much on the Europa games, a disappointing result, a ridiculous kick off time and the fact the game will be on telly. Celtics fans will hardly be any more motivated to turn out either on Sunday. But in the long term I think this run will do our attendances some real good. I think we'll add a few hundred on to our average across the season from what we had last year. Obviously most of those who turn out for the big matches won't be back till we have another big European game or a cup final but I think we'll get some to turn out more regularly.
  4. How long do you reckon you'd need to turn up at the-pub-that-cannot-be-named tomorrow? I haven't been to it for either of the away legs of this seasons Europa qualifiers but it was heaving at the Steau game. Is it likely to be as bad as that tomorrow?
  5. BBC Story SPL have fined us £50,000 for the pitch last season but we've only had to pay £5000 of it. Basically then if the pitch goes downhill again this year we're fucked then? If money is as tight as it seems to have been of late then something like this could cause us a huge problem later in the year if we were forced to pay out.
  6. Or alternatively use an internet forum we know the people who run the club read and post to as a way to show unhappiness with a decision they've taken.
  7. Well, as long as everyone is in the same position we'll have the same attendance as we did at the other two games. Maybe though after spending £30 over and above the cost of a season ticket before the SPL has even kicked off, putting the prices up for the third game might stick in the craw for some people. And we should put our prices up because Dundee Utd are charging £20? As I've already said that doesn't matter. Motherwell have already shown they can put the match on for £15 as the ticket price and so putting up prices into line with United seems a bit of dick move.
  8. Gies a fiver. I mean for fucks sake, its only a fiver.
  9. So if Celtic were charging less you'd be at Parkhead a week on Thursday? No? Supporting football isn't a free market, fans don't go where is cheapest. The club put two games on at £15 a head, showing that £15 is an acceptable price point for them. Adding another £5 on top shows that they reckon they'll be able to get another fiver out of each of us.
  10. What ever gave you that idea? In the past few seasons they've taken the Scottish Cup ticket out of the season book, taken the reserve tickets out, bumped the Cooper prices up into line with the main stand and felt fine charging our own fans more to watch the Old Firm because otherwise there would have been no other way of fleecing their fans when they come to Fir Park. They charge other traveling fans as much as they would to sit in the South even when they get pumped into the shite seats in the main. And how much is it for a pie nowadays?
  11. Who on here had ever heard of Anglian, Zoom or Jaxx before they paid to get their names on football tops?
  12. The online booking thing is showing some seats already sold in that section
  13. If you're getting that worked up about it then you could have a wee look at this website. Who says advertising doesn't work?
  14. The stream is going now, if you still aren't seeing anything there's a contact button at the bottom of the page for any problems.
  15. This obviously isn't true. A story is only true if you capitalise the word fact at the end of the sentence...FACT!
  16. Are they showing the match in The Pub tonight? Sorry if this has been answered before but I couldn't see it any where.
  17. He's also on the list for Newcastle on that page. Is there any chance Celtic are on the look out for new (and cheap) centre-backs after losing McManus and Caldwell last season?
  18. Augh!

    Breidablik

Yeah he did well when he came on, looked very assured at right back even though we're told it isn't his best position. His mother clearly hasn't been feeding the boy well enough during the summer, as skinny as he was last year he actually looks like he's lost more weight. Went for Lasley as Man of the Match, he was always fighting for the ball and looked probably the most energetic of our team at this stage.
  19. Quite annoyed about this but why have they gone to 12pm kick-offs instead of 12.30/12.45 last season? That change just seems pointless and will just piss off the fans going to the game even more.
  20. Aye we're in pretty much exactly the same position we were in last year in terms of the strength of squad but for some reason everyone seems to be much more optimistic about the coming season. Even though Brown isn't half the talent scout Gannon was and we're in a worse financial position due to the sponsor thing, having to unexpectedly relay the pitch again and missing out on a fourth home scum game. Hopefully the optimism isn't complacency. It isn't just us though. You read Pie and Bovril and the other teams in the same sort of position as us aren't really worried, everyone just thinks Kilmarnock will be their safety net. Think of the collective poo we'll all do if Killie win their first game comfortably though.
  21. Augh!

    Motherwell Tv?

£100 a year?!? For Falkirk fans to watch their home games in the First Division? I realise there will be an audience for that kind of thing with fans that are out of the country or something but surely there can't be that great a demand for something like that to succeed. Aren't highlights online at the BBC for free?
