  1. 1. Who would you prefer and why ?

Ok lets have a quick poll on who you would prefer up front.

Sutton : Not had much of a chance this season but im sure he would still out score Higdon if he was still at Motherwell, why?

Higdon; Workhorse, maybe off his top form because of outside factors, the form of Murphy, Humphrey might be the reason he has not scored as many as he should of!

Whats everyones thoughts for and against, will be interesting.

Sutton only hit his stride last season when Jeffers started making sapce for him.

On his own up top, I don't see him being any better (or worse) than Higdon. A more relevant poll would be:

4-5-1 at home - yes or no?

Dont think we need a poll for that one do we! But a Poll to bet thats the way its going to stay might be a better option.

Higdon then.

Sutton had scored 5 goals in all competitions at this stage last season. Higdon is at 9.

Good point you have, to be honest i never even checked, just wanted an opinion on who we would prefer.

sutton.

he may have only had five goals at this point last year but he was playing mainly out wide and was dropped a fair bit compared to higdon who has played all but 90 mins of our games this season.

the fact that we've failed to score in 8 out of 20 league games may be linked to the fact that our only centre forward is the slowest player in the league, can't win a header and has generally shite link up play.

And Higdon is being asked to play as a lone striker in a 4-5-1, which isn't his natural position either.

The fact we have failed to score in 8 league games is more down to McCall's insistence on playing 4-5-1 even at home, and refusing to change it when it doesn't work.

A more important stat is league position. Sutton's link up play, heading and general all round Messi-ness didn't manage to get us up to 3rd by this stage last season.
