Good listen this week - delayed flight this morning made much easier. Really comes across how passionate Twaddle is about the club.

Listened to the first half hour on the way to work. Agree, he does come across as still having plenty of time for Motherwell. Good to hear.

He seems to have made his debut in four different games though...

You can watch Kevin Twaddle pick his 'One to Eleven' on YouTube using this link -

Full podcast will be live on Saturday. The hour or so Kevin gave up was brilliant - we covered his career at Fir Park including goals against the Old Firm, playing alongside many big names, troubles with Eric Black, administration, his thoughts on John Boyle, the battles covered in his book and the current team.

What surprised me was the passion for the club he still has, a fantastic bloke!

Also have to thank Davie a Young for his work on producing the YouTube video. Give his Twitter page @VSMediaUK a wee follow, he does all our graphics and his talent never ceases to amaze.

Dougie Ramsey will be upset.

In addition to that we posted this on our Facebook and Twitter earlier this evening.

PLAYER OF THE YEAR

Over the last few week's the podcast team along with the guests on the show have been voting for their 'Podcast Player of the Year', however after yet another awful display on Friday evening we have decided there is no way we can go ahead with such an award.

The majority of those who cast votes struggled to pick a deserving winner and that sadly comes as little surprise, there hasn't been anyone in the first-team squad worthy of the title 'Player of the Year' this season.

Instead of scrapping the idea of a presentation altogether we have opted to award the trophy to the most impressive player in our Under 20's squad in which there has been a number of strong candidates - demonstrating the future is bright at Fir Park.

The winner of the award will be announced on this evening's podcast.

We will continue to support the team loyally throughout the remaining games of the season and beyond regardless of the end outcome. What we won't do however is blindly reward poor performances and unfortunately there have been far too many of those this season.

Cheers

MOTHERWELL fans have snubbed every first team regular for a Player of the Year gong, as the club stare a relegation play-off in the face.

Supporters who put together the weekly ByTheMinMFC Podcast had intended to hand out their own award to this season's top first team performer.

But after Friday night's 2-0 defeat to local rivals Hamilton left the Lanarkshire club six points behind Ross County in 11th place, organisers decided enough was enough.

They then scrapped the vote and announced that Under-20s star Dom Thomas would be given the award.

Podcast presenter Andy Ross said: "This is something ourselves and the guests had been voting on and we did have a winner.

"But we watched the game on Friday and discussed it and to be honest we were embarrassed at the prospect of having to award a player the Player of the Year.

"Quite frankly I don't think there is anyone deserving of the title of Player of the Year, but we haven't scrapped the idea, we will give it to an Under-20s player.

"Dom Thomas is the winner of the award, and will be presented with it after the Ross County game on Saturday."

Thomas has made 13 appearances for the first team since Ian Baraclough took over at Fir Park, but has only started one of those matches.

The winger has been a constant feature for Jonathan Johansson's successful Under-20s side, and is their top scorer this season with 11 goals.
