Laing and Lasley the top performers, while the keeper produced a couple of eye-catching saves.

 

Laing edges it for me despite the own goal. He looks determined to make the most of his potential.

Laing looked top notch today, was gutted for him when I learned that he'd scored the own goal

Ripley for me, not sure where you're coming from at all??? Absolute goal stopping saves - touch over the bar first half might've looked a bit Hollywood but was out of the top drawer.

Goodness, when did Ripley make a mistake? On this showing he has everything that Dan does not, presence and command of his box. Can you point out his errors I can't remember any? If you count going up for the corner then he was probably given permission by the coaching staff and you might as well go for it in injury time. Anyway I am still to be convinced that the second goal was not offside. If the goalie is up the park then you need two out field player to play people onside in the counter attack.

To be fair his kicking is a bit off but I couldn't really fault him.

 

Good to see him screaming at Thomas and Johnson to get moving and stuff.

He was pulling his own players out the way to get back and there was only 1 player back there should have been 2

It was either Laing, Ripley or Keith for me. In the end I went for Ripley.

Thought Ripley was excellent but Lasley was superb for the full 90 mins. Total commitment from the Captain so he get's my vote.

Good to hear Lasley getting praised again, he was immense vs Caley too. Definitely still life in him yet.

Laing for me today I thought he was immense followed closely by Ripley and La who seemed to peel back 10 years to the player he was. Avery good display alround certainly a performance we can build on.
