Watson never on miller was anonymous barron and mullen of leeds only ones I'd say were OK maybe other 2 cb murray and neilson. Mebude offered something but I think that showed where we are just now. I also thought johnstone and doig were poor. On paper looks strongest squad for a while buy they look a poorly coached team. No patterns of play all night. I wouldn't judge any of the players on that. Playing a 5-3-2 with the twist that neither of the strikers are actually strikers is crazy. When Mulligan and Mebude got the ball they just charged at goal head down like you would see in a primary school game. They seemed to sit even deeper after half time and were relying on a keeper who hasn't played a game this season rather than Johnson from Hibs who has been playing for Airdrie. I'm sure anyone watching could have predicted that the goalie would eventually sell a goal. Putting on Oné who only has 20 minutes in the Sheffield United first team and then subbing on Jack Milne who is a defender to play up front ahead of Watson and Wales who are getting goals and assists for Killie was very strange. What it highlights is spfl is not very strong and our players not as gd as some think they are. Miller is only 18 and has all attributes to reach top but I personally feel he has loads to do not least improve his pace and determination. Not meaning to talk him down but Turnbull imo was better although he was 20 in his breakthrough season. If you look at the really top players they never stop running miller just now for me is too passive. That of course is easily rectified and talent which he has in abundance is not. Never said that. Interpretation is everything. My observation is justified I feel .Billy gilmour is a ball player but watch him and he never stops moving and he was same at 16 17 18 as he is now. Certainly never hurts to have additional attributes although I wonder if he’s a bit constrained by the style of play and the roles given to him. The likes of Messi and Modric are great players and popping up all over the park but they are given free rein to roam. Especially with Motherwell, Miller is given a specific role to play and that his responsibility but I get your point.
