joewarkfanclub Posted May 30, 2025 Report Share Posted May 30, 2025 My only real memory of the game was that Doogie got 2 of the softest yellows ever to get sent off before half time and feeling that the ref had been sent in to do a job after we gave them such a scare in the first game. Having watched them back, both would have been yellows these days and the second would have been debated as a straight red! How the game has changed! Still a very decent first half showing against a side full of stars. Unsurprising given our line up though. Pretty much every player would walk into our current team (with the exception of maybe Stevie Woods).
