There are so many variables tomorrow there isnt really any point trying to predict what is going to happen.

Needless to say we will have to play close to our best and hope Rangers have an off day to get a result.

Lets just get to Hampden tomorrow and enjoy the occasion. Its a no lose situation for us as we arent a team that is expected to get to cup finals on a regular basis, just getting to a semi final is a big deal.

Enjoy Lennon Miller leading the team out. Enjoy being part of a big Motherwell support. Enjoy the fact that we have a chance of doing something really special, even if it doesnt pan out that way.

And maybe, just maybe, this underdog will have its day!

Up The 'Well! 🧡❤️🧡

Is your real name Martin Luther King? What a cracking inspirational speech.

Taking a huge support tomorrow so hopefully Kettlewell gets the line up and formation spot on and the lads play to their full potential

Having watched SK's presser, can the Well Society have a vote on banning "Punching above our weight"?

There must be better ways to say we sometimes do well with the resources we have.

Aye, we know it’s just you being a grumpy old man.

At the risk of sounding like MJC, im worried about the optimism & stars aligning.

Rangers are in dissaray, this is a big chance to beat them when it matters....... could end up getting humped 5-0

Buts lets forget that. 3-1 to the good guys & we can twist & shout all week long

Aye, a Rangers disarray has them 3 points and +7 goals better of than us in the league this season, so I'm under no illusions it will be easy to get a result.

However, they aren't likely to hump us on current form, so I expect it to be close - and when it's close, you always have a chance.

Aberdeen just need to start taking bodies now.

Tedious as fuck.

They’d need to be able to get near Celtics players before they can start “taking bodies”.

This is ominous for us as before we even kick a ball tomorrow it’s pretty clear that if we do win then we’re setting ourselves up for a pasting in the final. But that’s just the way Scottish football is now, no one can get anywhere near Celtic. They’re just on a different level.

Let's just focus on tomorrow,  if we get a memorable win then we start thinking about bricking ourselves 🤣🤣

Definitely and it’s not any different to 2017 in that we know that if we do beat Rangers then that’s essentially our ‘final’ and will be a result which is treasured and looked back on for years to come.

But as far as our chances of actually winning the trophy go….like I said it’s ominous because we’re not going to beat Celtic in a final.

You'll not need to buy a ticket then.

We probably won’t make the final anyway, so that won’t be an issue.

But if we do then I’ll buy a ticket as us getting to a Cup Final is a rare occurrence and there’s always that ‘just in case’ thought even though in reality you know it’s not going to happen.

When we beat them in ,91 . 4.2 they had John Collins and Paul mcstay in team

Oh dear! Thirty three years ago when football was different and Celtic were nowhere near the force they are nowadays.

That is irrelevant. You’d be as well saying it’s okay to smoke inside the ground because it was legal to do so in 1991.

The Rangers game is all that matters, although I have to admit that I'd likely have been more raging to lose tomorrow's game if I knew it was Aberdeen in the final. The idea of missing out on a competitive, non-old firm related final would be a real sickener.

As it is? I'd obviously still love to beat Rangers as a final and a day out at Hampden with the extra money the club would generate isn't to be sniffed at, but I think the chances of us beating Celtic at Hampden in a cup final are pretty slim.

Drubbing for Aberdeen tonight , cue the usual Gers fan’s comments that Aberdeen always lie down to them despite it being a chance for the Dons to win silverware

Now only us and the gruesome twosome left , despite their poor form recently I still heard a few of them confident of winning tomorrow

🤞 hopefully a win and worry about the final once we are there

Was still a massive big gulf in finances  between the sides at time and st Johnstone won cup recently so it's Def not irrelevant.

RT iss county beat Celtic 2 . Nil in league cup that year. Just shows upsets can happen in right circumstances.

Oh, upsets can happen. I think everyone will acknowledge that, but the likelihood is that if we play Celtic in the final, we lose.

The Rangers game is priority anyway. We're not favourites for that one either. If we are to win the cup, it'll have to be done the hard way.

That was during the Covid/no crowds season when Celtic absolutely imploded. That was a unique season and Celtic have won almost every available trophy outwith that particular year. The circumstances then are nowhere near what they are now. They will almost certainly win the treble this season and there’s a fair chance that they’ll do it unbeaten in all competitions again.

Hope you don't do the team talk. Your beginning to depress me. 😔
