Pettywulliegrew-2
Think it’s a nice change……..and unlike some recent Macron away kits has C&A in the trim I like the script (our original- first) badge which reminds me of the early 70’s….. think it would also work with the current home claret shorts
wellgirl
Thatcher privatised British Steel. While they might not be blameless if you look online there are people who think that was just paving the way for the closure My grandpa worked for Colvilles in Shields Road at the Clyde alloy. He was an electrical engineer and his pay was poor for the job he did and the qualifications he had. They went out on strike for better conditions to no avail. Ya Bezzer!
For me the kit is a bit bland being pretty much all sky blue with minimal design. Would have been better with a claret band, trim and white shorts.

Another corporate creation that you don't recognise as a Motherwell kit, so no doubt it will sell well Totally agree. It’s just gash. Yabba's Turd
Think the collar would do with more amber, it looks a bit Hertzish which is no doubt why their biggest fan loves it.

How long did he work there? Is he a well fan? My old man helped run the sports and social in the Clyde Alloy and buses were ran to Hampden regularly, my dad was there from 54'ish until he retired in

He died in 1978 when he was 61 and he was working pretty much up till he was diagnosed with bowel cancer. He was diagnosed and he died within about six months. He worked there most of his adult life as far as I'm aware. My family lived in Airdrie originally and then lived in Hamilton and latterly in Motherwell - they had a tied house on shields road He was a Motherwell fan but pretty sure he didn't go to games often. I wasn't at his funeral. I was 9 when he died, my family throught it would be best for me not to be there but a lot of people from Colvilles turned out - my mum said it was packed full of people he worked with. He was a fisherman and they named a trophy after him after he died She just said she turned around at Daldowie and there was just so many people there from his work He was a fabulous person. I still miss him terribly.

His family were quite religious and he used to have a drink once a year at new year. My gran too. But after he died my mum used to take my gran for lunch and two gins and she was drunk!! And there was the time she came to my house for dinner and she had a few Canadian clubs (steam boats). Sorry gran. Im a terrible influence

I think my dad had a fishing trophy from Clyde Alloy, don't think it was the Hayton one though, my dad knew him, he said he was a typical spark, became socially awkward when being asked to work (this is a taught technique, so I approve of your GF :D) Clyde Alloy Scotland/Motherwell buses were cracking fun
Yabba's Turd
Probably look a lot better with Bradford's collar, still feel the sky blue is too light though

Mad Dog
Same colour as Liam Kelly's top a couple of seasons ago. I quite like it, nice colour, subtle claret and amber trim. I'll probably buy one when I'm up for a visit.
Skips
A wishy washy nothing of a top. If we're lucky, the players might blend in to the freezing January rain allowing some ninja football tactics while our opponents try to determine where they all are. It's the third top I think so don't think we'll see them play in it - actually - Im talking nonsense. Still like it though
weeyin
It's not black. It's not fluorescent. It's not jester-ish. That puts it ahead of the game for me. I'd be quite happy if our change kit every season was white with claret and amber trim, but those days have long gone. On the plus side, if we launch a kit you don't like, it will be gone in a season.

robsterwood
New away blue strips dire. We got great claret and amber colours. Why the blue? And shirt collar colour clash with blue. Worst strip in a long time. Hope 3rd strip better.

The blue, presumably is a nod to the Ravenscraig towers (and our historical team colours). I've never been a fan of using claret as the base colour for our change kit though. Too Hearts-y.
