I know its very idealistic and not attainable in the real world, but surely we want a united support. I'm not saying that some of our support don't deserve criticism at times but I can't say I'd ever actually enjoy that. Maybe just me. It won’t be unique to us but we have never had a united support certainly not in my time supporting the club. There are guys in the East Stand that spend half the game trying to pick a fight with anyone who expresses an opinion that they disagree with and it inevitably descends into the usual “support yer team or fuck off tae Ibrox” replied to with “Ave paid ma money a’ll say whit a like” and such like. The Main Stand centre section is pretty bad for that kind of thing too. And of course it is reflected on here and other social media forums. Speaking as a native, West Central Scotland has never exactly been a hotbed of reason and sensibility.
weeyin
I used to stand in the East when it was terracing, and it was full of people who complained from kick-off to final whistle every week, regardless of the performance or result. I'm not sure if it has improved in recent years, or if it's just spread out more now that the fans occupy the entire stand rather than just half. It must have been the exceptions to the rule on the few occasions I’ve sat in that sections then.

Motherwell fans have often been divided, the fans who would support the team in League 2 or non league and still cheer them on, and others who think we should be top 3-4 every year and doing well in cups all the time When we were in Administration in 2002 most were all united in their support for the team regardless of the circumstances . 2002-2005 was a good era to follow our club because of this

Not saying we all agree 100% but it's all kept respectable and largely good natured. Most "internal" trouble or division is online I'd say and entirely avoidable. Some unfortunate / unsavoury incidents do occur occasionally in the stands though.
joewarkfanclub
Motherwell are no better or worse than any other support. Every team has their "Happy Clappers" and their "Right Miserable Bastards" and all the rest that fall somewhere in between. I just think because we have quite a small support, the extremes are more visible than most.....
