This is where all the focus has to be, on this game. Not on cup dreams or transfer speculation. Going into the third round of fixtures and most seasons we have at least one round of fixtures where we struggle. 2 good rounds already so we need to play even better to have a good third round and hopefully keep us well in contention for top 4 spot.
two teams above us play each other (Hearts v Celtic) and two teams below us play each other (Falkirk v Hibs) so if we take care of our business it could be a great day for us.

Playing a team that's not won in 16 i'm slightly concerned given our history against teams in that sort of form. Team for me would be

Ward (Where was he Sat anyone know)

SOD Mcginn Gordon Longelo

Fadinger Preistman

Maswanhise Slattery Just

Bjorgolfsson (If he's signed in time if not Stama)

I suspect this will be similar to the Ross County game where we're trying to break down a low block for the majority of the game. They've got some better players than Ross County so it will be a tough game. Hopefully we get the win and start to build some more momentum going into a busy and season defining February.

Ive got to the stage I dont particularly care or worry about who we are playing.

If we play well and up to the same high standards we have set all season Im pretty confident we will get a positive result.

The fact the game is at home and against a team struggling at the wrong end of the league means we should definitely be targetting 3 points here.

Depending on fitness / availability Id probably play without a striker again as it causes opposing teams all so

rts of problems due to our movement.

A wee cameo for the big Viking off the bench will do fine.....

Our history against teams in that sort of form is that we usually beat them.

No doubt the times we don't will stick in your mind, but if you want a recent example of playing a team in that sort of form you only need to look as far back as the last time we played (and beat them).

See also Livingston and St Mirren.

Hopefully the recent cases remain true then the next 3 games are against the sides at the bottom it's a great chance to build momentum heading into the cup game and if we manage to pick up 9 points we'd be well on our way to a European tour come July/August time.
