In the southern part of the POD there were big problems at half time with congestion in the stair well and small concourse. Fans making their way down to hospitality; others queuing for the kiosk; and yet others queuing for the loos resulted in human gridlock. Yes the POD is well past its sell by date and large crowds are causing potential safety issues. Lest I be accused of being a miserable sod, they are pleasant problems to have and shouldn't be blown out of context. As you say Dave the POD is long overdue for a refurb if thats possible or knocked down completely and rebuilt to be fit for purpose in 2026, and not stuck in the 1960's as it is now. For me the ideal solution is a new purpose built stadium, fully enclosed, no open ends, like Almondvale only better, stadium parking, good transport links etc etc. It all depends how the current board see the club developing . Who said we couldn't increase attendances? Lots of new faces in our part of the POD. Long may that continue. That will boost income considerably and I hope that translates into a jump in season ticket sales. A jump in attendances brings problems though - increased traffic congestion for one. The POD joining in with "Stand up & Sing For Motherwell", songs being started in the Cooper and North end of the Hunter, were just a few of my favourite things about yesterday. Said absolutely "bodying" their giant centre half, when he tried to bully him was another. Glad Watt had a quick word in his ear afterwards, but absolutely love how Ibi doesnt take any shit! Yes, that was quite an atmosphere which I haven't experienced in the POD for many years.

The thunder clap has been great but always such a long build up. I think the 'stand up and sing for Motherwell ' is brilliant. Seeing all 3 stands do it really is something.
