Jimmy O'Rourke scored a hat trick after coming on as a sub in the second half of a game Oct/Nov 1976 or 1977 against St Johnstone or Hibs (memory letting me down!) Can't remember the year . also did Kirky not score 4 in one match remember that well and if my memory serves me right (?) he also scored 2 goals against Celtic either the week before or after it resulting in us beating the OF one after the other at Fir Park..... anyone know if I'm right ??? A Killie throw in went through one of their players legs an Ma Lord lobbed Meldrum from at least 40 yards, was one of the best Motherwell goals I've ever seen He was right out on the touchline as well. The other two were good goals as well. A couple of quick passes with Billy Davies and nice finish. The other involved an Andy Roddie assist(no laughing) and good instincts by the cobra to finish. Softy belted one in too if I'm not mistaken. McFadden's was great against Livi,the dinked penalty and solo goal really summed up his time with us perfectly. I was working some (rare) overtime the day Ferrere scored his (Feb 2002), was on my stag do in Aberdeen when Faddy got his (May 2003), and was away for a post-new year party when Clarkson got his (Jan 2004). One of these days I'll be there. Right everyone, whip-round time. Scoojy needs to miss the game this Thursday. We can drop him off at the Newhouse Travel Inn with enough dough for a bite to eat, a couple of pints and a night's kip. If its the same game I'm thinking of, It was the 5th and 6th goals in the 6-2 pumping of Hibs after being 2 down in the first 10 minutes.
