lennyhenry
Having gone from centre backs being one of the main worries in the team, i now think that we have a number of good players that can play in the position. IMO craigan has been a brilliant servant to the club, but Saunders, Reynolds and Hutchinson are all ahead of him at the moment in the pecking order. Who would your first choice pairing be from a fully fit squad?
Maxi
I really couldnt choose to be honest mate. Reynolds and another because i think Hutchison and Saunders would need a leader beside them.
claretbandonambershirt
Couldn't say either but Saunders played well against Celtic.
sinky
I think craigan and reynolds are brilliant , but then take into account saunders ariel threat and hutchisons strength(keeping kevin kyle quiet for a full game) then its a hard pick
FJ-94
seems that reynolds is gannons first pick tbh . i'm sure ill be corrected but i'm pretty sure he's played every game in the league at cb this year

Iain7_mfc
As much as i like Craigan, i wouldn't have him near the team if you're leaving Saunders on Hutchy on the sidelines. Fair does when it comes to experiance and the likes but look how well Reynolds and Saunders coped yesterday. Craigan can be a bit of a bombscare at times, he showed that against Falkirk. steelboy
saunders has played brilliantly so far but i think it's a bit much to expect an 18 year old to keep his consistency up for a full season. there's no harm in giving the guy's a rest every so often and making them earn there place in the team. Brazilian
We'll need to sell one of them soon but quite happy in the knowledge that we will be left with a quality combination of those that are still here Missing big Hutchisons goals just now

What's particularly enjoyable about that is we haven't even bought any centre backs.
Motherwell Football Club
Reynolds and Saunders for me. When Hutchison gets fit a run out in a cup game would be good for him but it would be totally unfair to Saunders who has done nothing wrong bar the Hibs game where the whole defence were at fault. milo
It's a great position to be in. I'd keep it as t is at the moment as none of the guys deserve to be dropped. When fit, I'd definately have Hutchinson in there though .
Frazzie
Hutchison is the pick of the bunch for me but, as Neil rightly says, nobody deserves to be dropped so if I was Gannon, Hutchison would have to be patient and wait for his chance. Wonderful problem to have though.
Joeboy
Craigan can be a bit of a bombscare at times, he showed that against Falkirk. Exactly how did he do that? I'm a huge Stephen Craigan fan myself, but having an embarassment of riches is a good thing. Right now Reynolds and Saunders don't deserved dropped, but there will be games where Craigan will be of use. It's too close to call for first choice. Modernist
We'll need to sell one of them soon Agree with you............. 'Mark Reynolds' in January is my prediction. He won't be at the 'Ark' next season in my opinion. Also, it gives Jim Gannon some money to play with hopefully................ Any takers ? Wellfan1984
Craigan was excellent against Falkirk!!! I thought Reynolds when asked to defend yesterday was fantastic, unfortunately his distribution at times was worse than Craigans. The amount of times as easy pass to Hammell was on and he choose to put it up the middle (sometime along the ground) for Robson/Maloney/Brown to pick up was a worry. Although like I said his defending was excellent and seems to have learned from last season. Although look at Reynolds - last two seasons he has been caught a lot, and I think when we're working with Saunders (who again was excellent yesterday, and put his body on the line) and Hutchison we need to remember they're still teenagers - so Craigan will be required to steer them on. Joeboy
Wellfan1984- couldn't have put it better myself. Reynolds main assets for me are pace and reading of the game, I don't think he'd be as good if he didn't have those two. I think letting Craigan go anytime soon would be nuts. I think if nothing else, the advice he will pass on to the others is beneficial.
Ya Bezzer!
My first choice would be..... Craigan - Reynolds. Saunders has done really well at centre half but I think Hutchinson gives you a bit more, his game is more rounded. EDIT: Just noticed I've given one MoM to each of the four centre halves this season.
DEWELL
Craigan and Hutchinson with Reynolds at left back. .
Fi2810
I think Craigan and Reynolds or Craigan and Hutchison. I mean you don't play so many international games as Craigan has if you are not a good player. But I agree it is a good situation having a choice of players. Now need to get into the same situation with strikers so they have a bit of competition for a place too.
The Skipper
When I'm home and go to the games that Craigan has played in he's been shit. He's not commanding in the air and in fact one of the games he couldn't even head the ball forwards! Perhaps his experience is good for the young guys but he's not the future as far as I'm concerned.
