is this the start of injuries causing problems with our very threadbare squad? are you listening mr. boyle? craigie has been bemoaning our squad size for a wee while now, hopefully the fringe players who get their chance do really well.

This is the reason why they are here in the first place. Solved your wee rant yourself there.

Before the game Craig Brown was saying the wage bill is lower than last year but they don't have enough to sign another player, he also pointed out that were already filling the first team with under 19's

I hope Jamie and Keith recover quickly and everyone else stays fit

If we are to lose a few to injury it may mean a change in style. That doesn't bother me in the slightest, we've proved we can win ugly if necessary, and if that means we continue our good run then so be it.

Aberdeen and United management will understand we are the form team outside the OF and duly respect us and what we can do. They won't relish the thought of us coming. Their fans may ignore our league position and regard us with historical precedent as one of the smaller teams in the league compared to them. Aberdeen's performance last night again didn't cover them in glory and it appears if you take Hartley and Vernon out the game then they are toothless. Utd are a shadow of their former ability.

Hamilton away is effectively a home tie, just show up 15 minutes earlier than normal for the bus ride. Imrie is a bogeyman for us but we should tuck them away.

Boxing day will be like a cup tie, full house and majority of the crowd jaked on mulled wine and egg-nog, its a 50-50.

Celtic away in our current form is the only one we should worry about.

If Murphy is out why can't we play Sutton and Blackman up front with Gow sitting in behind them? That's where Gow plays his best football (historically) in my opinion.

If Lasley and Murphy are out for the Accies game why not play:

---------------------------------------Randoplh-----------------------------------------------

Saunders--------------Craigan------------------Reynolds-------------------------Hammell

Hateley---------------------------Jennings---------------------------------------Humphrey

---------------------------------------Gow---------------------------------------------------

--------------------------Sutton-----------------Blackman----------------------------------

Humphrey seems to be able to swith from right to left ok and with Hately in right of centre midfield he can help pull Saunders through the game if he's struggling. Not a fan of playing Sutton in the midfield like he was last night because A. He's not as effective there and B. it reminds me of Richie Foran in the Butcher era, and a poor version of it at that. Sutton is best up front, knocking the ball down to Blackman or Gow and getting his head on the end of crosses.

We've got no real idea of what he can offer us but, if Murphy is to miss a few games, how far is Casagolda away from a return?
