  1. Past hour
  2. The massive shift for me is the belief we can beat anyone we play, if we do what we set out to do. Mccall (i think ot was) reguarly used to come out with the phrase "we need to be at our best and they need to have an off day" with regards to old firm games, and with that attitude we are generally beaten before a ball is kicked. We just don't seem to have any fear nowadays. In addition the bump in attendances is something i would never have expected. 8k vs st mirren on saturday, a year ago that would have been ~5k. JBA's fresh approach, so far, has transformed our club. Massive credit to the decision makers who appointed him, and long may it continue.
  3. Its probably a good match to be honest, their play style is somewhat similar to when he was with us and was arguably his longest form period.
  4. Today
  5. Campbell signs with St Mirren now, as noone else wanted him?? Six months out the game and chooses them.
  6. What is it they say? Something like "If you owe the Bank 10 pounds they take you to court. If you owe the Bank 10 million pounds, they make you the CEO"
  7. Aye but its rich people bankrupt, its not the same as what happens to us common folk.
  8. Brings a lot of useful relegation battle experience with him. In his most recent interview he said: --- He has had interest in Scotland, England and in Europe. It is now about considering those options and deciding what is right in helping him to achieve his goals. “I think I'm obviously a free agent,” Campbell admitted. “A lot of times I think it opens your eyes up to see what opportunities are out there. “As I said, if something came up overseas and it was best for my career and it was a good opportunity, then I'd definitely consider it. “I’ve had a few options in Scotland, England and in Europe. --- Makes you wonder what those options were if he ended up in Paisley. Good luck to him, though. Like all former players in the same league, I hope they always do well, and hope their team always finishes below us.
  9. Campbell signed with St Mirren until end of season
  10. Aye, far too many ways to avoid it. Was it Hong Kong that used to have a flat rate many years ago? The idea was that there was a relatively low rate of tax, but everyone paid that same rate on everything. No exceptions, no avoidance schemes, big penalties if you tried to dodge it. Helped make sure everyone paid a fair share, and was easy to collect.
  11. Going bankrupt after transferring assets should be outlawed. He will pay a pittance of his future income for a few years and that will be that. Meanwhile taxes increase to pay for basic services as tax revenue has decreased and costs keep going up.
  12. Plus a 1 year option by club. So start the bidding at £5m Good Scottish/British players come at premium price.
  13. Plus a 1 year option on our part.
  14. Watt has 18 months left on contract so if they were interested then give us £2,000,000 and we will think about it
  15. Always find it mental how people who are very wealthy compared to the average can end up bankrupt. A lot of cowboys out in the financial advisory and investment space.
  16. Remarkably similar to the Davie Turnbull episode
  17. No sympathy at all. When it comes to paying tax, when you are told about a deal and a way to cut your tax bill that sounds too good to be true….. then it’s too good to be true. these guys have earned millions, just pay what you are meant to pay and you’ll still have millions. Dont try and join ridiculous film schemes or forestry schemes. Crazy behaviour when in general most of these footballers are financially illiterate. he’s also not paying any of the money back as he’s bankrupt. He’s saying he has no assets so it’s clear he’s put everything in his wife’s name to get away with not paying back a penny. That’s really tax evasion not avoidance. He’s lucky. Anyway I’ll come off my tax soap box
  18. Did I just hear a woooshing noise above my head??
  19. We would be stupid to sell Watt now so hopefully the board are of the same opinion.
  20. 💩💩 Anyone else smell something???
  21. Seems to have been screwed over by one of those tax deductible investments that HMRC later ruled illegal. I have some sympathy, but those schemes can often land you in hot water.
  22. I heard a rumour that didn't happen, one of us will be right
  23. I see the sun reporting that Faddy has fallen on hard times and has been made bankrupt. https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/15768524/james-mcfadden-bankrupt-debts-revealed-football-scotland/
  24. Weve done better than i thought we would last january or february i was so disenchanted with the board and the football on the pitch. I genuinely thought we were on a rudderless dinghy. However glad that the refreshed well society and board have proved me wrong and am delighted with the teams current play and long may it continue
  25. Heard a rumour about a danish winger/ striker, anyone heard anything
  26. Is that also why the didn't sign Lennon Miller?
