Been a bit disappointed with slattery tonight, been quite slow on the ball at times and if he was a bit sharper a few goal shoot chances could have happened. I still think Fadinger is class. I think he’ll get better and better.

Ref thinks this is the Champions League Final.

They have some decent players tbf, their number 10 is talented and I like their big centre half who has the look of a junior player but he’s a class act.

Hope so. Might be a case of waiting to see who is available on loan from the English leagues once they confirm their squads. Definitely one (or two) light in that department.

We have played some decent football tonight, the high press has been effective, we are actually playing out from the back effectively instead of hoofing it forward, but its the old issue we are toothless up front, Stamatelopoulos has been anonymous. I hope JBA has another striker lined up, as we can't start the season with what we have now.

They are Quite a big physical side, it’s a useful game. I think it’s obvious the team look a little tired after their exertions on Tuesday, it’s a quick turnaround and I’d have preferred more than 4 subs as the risk of injury is high when players are knackered.. id like to see us create a bit more in the 2nd half, I think at times we look very tidy on the ball but lack any cutting edge. We’ll see what the next 45 brings.

This is a good friendly for us. The players having to execute our tactics against a much higher level of opposition. We’ve had some decent possession and for the most part we are trying to play a Passing game but we need more runs off the ball in attack and because we are having to play quicker some of the passing is going astray.

Been a decent workout so far. A good step up in opposition to test us before the league opener.

Connelly probably played in the B game earlier. I agree. I think Ward has done OK so far though

I know Connelly will be going back out on loan, but I think he's a better keeper than Ward.

Silky ball skills from Gordon put his keeper in trouble for the pen. Struggled with a 3 yard pass.

Seems pretty clear what the manager considers his first eleven at the moment given this is the same team that started vs Morton. Although I've only seen two games so far, irrespective of whether they're good enough, I find it hard to argue that it's the best eleven we have...
