You don't know Kelty obviously. 🤣
-
Aye. I understand the premise. But I can show the board that I dont like said manager by witholding my season ticket money and paying at the gate as I see fit. Was just saying that having no manager in place isnt really the same thing as having one you have had enough of.....
-
Managers are transient the club is your club forever.
- Today
-
Mmmm. If it was still Kettlewell and we had scraped back into the top flight via the play offs? I agree though, any new manager offers hope, so the prospect of not knowing who the appointment is, probably shouldnt be a factor.
-
Away days at Brora and Kelty would be good. Mibbe Airdrie at home to give them a good kicking on the best surface in Scotland and The Spartans too, just because they have a cool name.
-
Maybe .
-
They apparently do it every year according to my brother when I told him today. I'd have held off if I had known but no biggie.
-
I genuinely have no idea who we will appoint - but hopefully the club will get it right. I feel really sorry Wimmer has gone - just feels very bizarre that we are looking for yet another manager.
-
I think it was me who got a rise out of my bait.
-
Don’t rise to the bait.
-
No superiority complex, nor cryptic style. Just a loathing of some who think their £5 monthly sub correlates with knowing every decision or move the club makes.
-
I think you’re spot on MFC. It would certainly make sense for him to stay until the club selects a new manager.
-
I see the superiority complex and cryptic style of some continue to be boundless.
-
VAR ruining the matchday experience for longterm season ticket holders is likely a main reason.
-
We may be a fan-owned club, but that doesn't change my post. There's information that simply can't be divulged to the public, even if that public includes Well Society members. There are processes in place for a reason. I would think that the interview with Kyrk was planned for such a time as more details had been ironed out with Ahmet, and most likely not because he was reading SO during his lunch break today and decided to get an impromptu video recorded!
-
To be fair though Wimmer only left on Friday. He couldn't really have given the update sooner particularly if the club was closed yesterday for the bank holiday. I do agree that supporters should be kept in the loop but that's not a bad timescale for putting out the facts in my view. Particularly as they couldn't say anything until Wimmer left
-
Pretty sure O'Donnell had a contract clause where there was an option that was triggered and also sure Halliday signed on again before Wimmer made the decision to go.
-
if anyone bases their purchase of a season ticket on who the manager will be they need to take a good look at themselves . There are many good reason why people might not buy a Season Ticket Cost, Family Commitments, Work Commitments al perfectly acceptable but who the manager is ? nah no having it.
-
O’Donnell invoked his further years clause allegedly
-
Really good interview, gives me faith we are in good hands.
-
Perhaps some can stop the knicker wetting and invest in pampers now.
-
Good idea extending the early bird season ticket pricing so fans can see who the new gaffer will be.
-
Yes, it was. It answered many, if not all, of our questions. It seems we're looking for much the same qualites in a manager as we did before which is encourging. The issue of family ties was discussed with MW as part of due diligence, but clearly that changed and there wasn't much we could do about that. Comforting to know that the club is ticking over nicely before the window opens on 12 June and pre season preparations are being made. That will ease a few concerns.

Some overlap with the managerial thread. Not sure I wholly agree David. We're a fan owned club and should be kept informed of what is going on. Again I'm not advocating a blow by blow account of everything thats unfolding;thats clearly unreasonable. However its not unreasonable to be told if anyone is in charge, even temporarily, of the playing side. The club clearly reads this forum as Kyrk MacMillan's recently released interview answers most if not all of our questions. Having listened to it, I'm now pretty much up to date with what is going on. He's given us the necessary information in an open way, whilst still being professional. Thats all many of us asked.
